Mark I Moving & Storage

It’s almost three years since the horrible experience with Mark 1. From massive additional charges to still missing boxes and broken items. Please -- Seriously consider another moving company. 2024 Review It has now been 2 years since we were involved in the worst moving company we have dealt with in over 8 major moves! Poor quality, broken items...... After we were quoted, we gave away, to charity, 5 major pieces of furniture, a large outdoor custom made grille, fire pit, ect..... When the charges came in the total price went up dramatically.... Even when the weight went down by 400+ pounds OUtrageous travel expenses when I offered to house the workers, at my expense, at a local hotel -- they would prefer to charge me travel costs -- a major profit area! They arrived just before noon and left at 3:30 due to travel back to Simpsonville. I could easily go on and on. NEVER even consider this company. 1

On the front end it was seamless, very professional packing and loading. In the end it was a nightmare. We were promised our things within a 48 hour time frame, didn’t happen and was not communicated to us at all. We had to spend 2 extra nights in a hotel. When the truck did arrive our belongings were held hostage until the unloaders were paid more money. Horrible experience all around but especially bad because we were made promises with updates, etc and it did not happen. No communication, they pretty much left us hanging.

Final cost was almost 50% more than estimate.

The move went very well.  They were actually early and started right away.  My furniture was wrapped in padding and pictures/glass were wrapped in paper or bubble wrap.  Nothing was broken.  They were very professional and didn't complain.  I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends and others.  It was a very positive experience.

The team at Mark I did a great job with our move. I met with several movers prior to going with Mark I and even though the price was slightly higher, we felt much better about the way they quoted. The movers are professional, work hard and take pride in their job. We have several heavy challenging items and they figured a way to make it all work.

Mark 1 did a very great job. They provided me with very good service. They even moved my stuff out of the storage place which was great. The one guy thought that he was King Kong though. He ended up taking a big chunk out of my couch trying to lift it himself. It was kind of funny. Other than that, they were great. I really am pleased and I have no complaints at all. They do charge $99 per hour and you have to have them a minimum of four hours.
