We purchased granite countertops from the Home Depot on Fairview Rd.  Our kitchen designer was excellent and I only have compliments for her.  However, we had some problems.  The granite went in fine from the subcontractor they hired.  Then we had difficulty with the installation date of the cooktop.  They use a subcontractor that provided the date they wanted to do it. (Very little flexibility on the date/time)  We agreed and they did not show up.  I called them several times during the day and finally at 8:30 that evening they informed me there was a mixup on the date.  Very discouraging.  Home Depot was of no help.

The final item was the installation of the new sink.  The plumber arrived and installed the unit.  He had to hook up the dishwasher .  No problem ,it seemed. We used the dishwasher the next day and noticed it leaked all over our hardwood floors. We removed the remaining water.  That night we washed dishes by hand and did not realize the drain water was backing up into the dishwasher. 

The plumber comes out the next day and says there is no problem. ( I surmise he saw that the dishwasher drain pipe needed to be raised slightly and this solved the problem.)  The only reason I chose Home Depot was so there would be one point of responsibility.  The opposite occurred.  I made them aware of the floor with photos but have heard nothing else.  I am just glad they are gone.  Proceed with caution in using Home Depot as a contractor for any project.  We certainly will not shop there ever again.

I was very happy with the whole service experience. They work was done very well, the workers were friendly and the countertops are exactly as I pictured. I was very satisfied and about two weeks after the installation they called me to tell me that I actually overpaid them. They told me to come down and pick up a check for $900. I was so impressed by their honesty especially when I was not even questioning the price.

They did not listen to us, they don't return calls on time, and they are not responsive. We paid to have a new stove top. It was the wrong cook top, and the drawers below would not fit because the cook top was the wrong shape. They charged an extra 40 dollars to fix the problem they created.

I liked the door they put up. It only took him a little over two hours to complete his work. There was no old door to remove so he had to get it all set up. He did a good job and everything went well so I was completely satisfied with them.

Home Depot did an okay job of installing our hardwood floors. The work looks okay, but they didn't clean up after themselves. They were also not the most respectful people. I would definitely not use them again.

We bought some nice carpeting at Home Depot, but we were not happy with the installation. The seams weren't done well and the carpeting on the stairs wasn't stretched properly. We called them about it, but they didn't want to come back. It's actually gotten worse over time.

I feel overall Home Depot did a good job. I was disappointed that the workers who showed up were not very knowledgeable about the work that they were doing. If I had not been home they would have done the work incorrectly. I was pleased with the price we were quoted, and found it was about the same as what everyone else was charging. I was also not completely satisfied with the fact that saw dust was left on my garage floor, as this is a back entrance into my home. I wish that they had cleaned up after themselves a bit more.

This was the best service experience that I have had in years. He was actually here early and offered to wait in the truck if I was not ready for him yet. He was very nice and professional. The service was excellent. I would recommend this company.
