Complete nightmare - one battle after another. At one point, I contacted Better Business Bureau and my attorney, neither of whom was able to save me from the end result. Mr. Clark agreed with my attorney to complete all work by the end of July 2010 and I planned to move in August 1. The night before my move, I came to Greenville to check out the house and found the kitchen gutted, with live wires hanging out of the ceiling and a gaping hole in the ceiling with insulation drifting down from the attc where they had removed the stove vent. Pipes were standing open with no sort of covering, holes in wall open down to crawlspace. The contract called for Kitchen completion, including new cabinets, sink, disposal, new appliances, lighting, etc., none of which was done. I have had to have the bathtub redone due to peeling. There were gaping holes in bathroom walls where old pipes had been removed. The bathrooms were not finished out although contract had called for finishing them. None of the threshholds were finished out where the floors were refinished and where tile had been laid, just rough edges to trip over. Contract called for finishing out floors. None of the doors had been re-hung, not even bathroom doors. The laundry box was placed on a completely different wall from where it was planned - so that you could not even enter the laundry room if the washer had been placed there. I had to have the laundry box completely re-done which meant cutting out the wall, etc. I contacted the SC Licensing Board and took Mr. Clark to small claims court (I had paid a considerable deposit) where I was awarded compensation which he is yet to pay. The Licensing Board has recently (June 2012) contacted me and informed me they have acted on the complaint and they will not renew Mr. Clark's license nor allow him to practice in his field anymore. They informed me that several other folks had similar experiences with Mr. Clark and they had also contacted the board.
