New drainage pipe installation. Wrong type of pipe used. Had to dig up pipe and "do over".
More than 20 major plants that were relocated all died within weeks of the move. Owner claimed the weather was at fault again and there was no guarantee on that part of the job.
I'm out over $6000 with nothing to show for it. I had to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Company never responded to my claim. The only note in the disputes section on this listing is "stalemate". That is incorrect as the owner never called to try and reach resolution of the problems with this job.
"Regretfully, there are some unscrupulous contractors as we both found out. This job was illegally sold to another company acting under our name, after this revelation became known I stepped in got law enforcement involved and did the best we could to resolve the issues at hand. we replaced the faulty pipe and after we discussed what your objectives were for the lawn we made the appropriate recommendations. GroundsGuys employees never relocated any plants or performed any seeding therefore can't be held responsible for the performance of another company or person acting outside of the law. Charges have been filed and are currently being pursued by our company."

We walked him around our yard. We put in an inground pool late last Summer and needed landscaping advice regarding plants, hardscapes, etc. He suggested sod, and to just continue with the few plants (boxwood) we had already planted. He never took any notes, didn't draw a plan or anything. I feel like the service he provided would be one that a landscaper would provide for free. For $49 it was a rip off.
"Thank you for your response, I offered several options of plants for your pool area, the ones you currently had in place were fine but were incomplete so I suggested you complete the area and enhance with several other options. With the lay of the land you had on the upper area of the pool stapling sod was the only choice I could offer, seeding wouldn't work on the embankment you had. In the area down the walkway I suggested you build a raised bed you said you had thought of that and I agreed it was a good choice. I apologize for letting the appointment slip through we do get very busy this time of year and sometimes an appt gets by us."
