Greenhouse and Nursery Service
I bought a bonsai tree as a gift; the shop--which is little more than a
crude greenhouse behind a home--was well-stocked, but far more important
the owner took a great deal of time to understand the person for whom I
was buying the plant and was confident (and firm) in his
recommendations. A small, but telling, detail: I had to get my checkbook
from my car; when I returned, he was carefuly plucking tiny weeds from
the pot to make the tree as pretty as possible. (And, despite the
alternate over-watering and neglect the tree receives from my 96 year od
mother, it has managed to survive to this date). I'd buy again from
this man in a heartbeat.) NOTE- it's a little tricky finding the shop.
Use your GPS or ask the owner for directions. It's easy to miss the turn
after leaving the Pendleton Street art district.
