Gilstrap Roofing

Found one leak immediately after work was done and they did a good job responding and fixing the leak. However, they left a hole in the roof elsewhere where flashing was not installed correctly. This should have been found by their inspection after the work was done. That hole resulted in water coming down through a wall which caused significant damage to our main level wood floor and basement ceiling tiles. This water damage was not discovered until 6 years after installation—a year after the workmanship warranty had expired. I called them to fix it and they sent someone out promptly but their estimate to repair was too high. I called them back and asked if they could lower their quote considering the very poor workmanship and resulting damage to our house. They never called me back. I got someone else to do it and saved 30%.

A tube of caulk and $250 later ---they said their base price for coming out was $250!!!

Gilstrap Roofing was excellent from beginning to end. The inspection was scheduled within a few days of my initial inquiry. Chase London arrived promptly, evaluated the roof, and provided a complete written estimate. I contacted two other companies. One company's estimate was very high. The other company's estimate was comparable, but it came with a 2-year guarantee on workmanship whereas Gillstrap offered a 5-year guarantee. The workmen arrived early in the morning and worked diligently until evening. The work was completed in two days. The property was swept clean of all debris and nails. All in all, an excellent experience.

Excellent service from start to finish. They handled everything. All the paperwork and the roofers were considerate and courteous. Reasonably priced. I have recommended them to several friends and family.

It took two days for 3400 Sq ft. And three ridge vents. The crew worked hard and knew their roles. Cleanup was good also and Brian Gilstap provided great support. I highly recommend this company.

Explained how the existing flashing was in good shape and was installed properly however needed to be sealed with professional roof sealer. The sealer has held up very well since application.

They arrived as planned and repaired the leak the first time.  They took extra time and corrected some additional issues caused by a previous company that failed to fix the leak in 2 attempts.

I had three roofing companies give me estimates to replace old shingles, repair roof, add new shingles, and remove old gutters and replace. All three companies' estimates were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I met with Brian Gilstrap to discuss and scope the job. He was very professional and knowledgable. 
His workers were highly puntual, hard working, nice, and professional. They finished in two and a half days. The roof looks great, and they cleaned up very well afterwards.
I would definitely recommend them.

Arrived on schedule work completed on time clean up was good.

We had a driving rain and our 10 year old roof leaked into the attic/ceilings of 2 rooms around loose nails that were coming up and through the rain covers around the pipes coming out of the roof.
Another roofing company quoted me $1200 to do the same job and replace the ridge vent (600.00 for screws + rain covers plus 600.00 for a new aluminum ridge vent) which Gilstrap told me was unnecessary. I saved 850.00 by doing business with an honest company! Thank you, Mr. Gilstrap for being an honest man and employing honest employees.  Thank you, Jackie! You'll have my business when I need a new roof.

Brian Gilstrap met with me to discuss the scope of the project and show me some sample roofing materials. He listened to my concerns about some leak issues, which he felt could be addressed easily through different techniques. He also suggested that he could replace a skylight which had had periodic leak issues in the past. In addition he recommended installing a ridge vent to replace an older style vent. He walked and measured the roof and gave me estimates including one with architectural shingles which he recommended, pointing out a color he thought would complement the house color. I called him back a few times to clarify different things and he immediately returned my calls and answered my questions. We agreed on a tentative date to begin the project, but had to reschedule due to the constant rain we were experiencing. When the weather changed we set the date and his crew showed up to begin. The project was completed as agreed on and the crew worked until dark to remove all rubbish as rain was forecast for that night. I was grateful they stayed and finished up as it did rain and they would have had a  mess otherwise. The roof looks great and the color does complement the house. Brian and his team did a great job!

The crew arrived on time and Brian Gilstrap was on site multiple times during the day to observe the progress. Overall I was very pleased with the cleanup and the work. His crew worked very hard all day and essentially completed the job in one day, only having to come back the next day for some touch up cleanup. Brian was very courteous and the crew did exactly what they were supposed to do.

The crew was finished in one day as promised. They avoided driving or parking in areas that I asked them not to drive or park on and they did an excellent job cleaning up behind themselves.

My contact was Brian Gilstrap.   He was courteous, punctual and brought several samples for me to choose from.  The job was completed when I was told it would be and they cleaned up behind themselves and didn't leave a big mess.  I thought I had a potential problem and called Brian.  He came out promptly and re-assured me they would take care of any problems if they should arise, and they haven't.  The work looks great and I would recommend them to anyone.

They came, gave an estimate, came and removed the old roof off the house and garage, and put a new roof on.  They cleaned up after themselves.  It looks good, and doesn't seem to leak anymore, which is what we wanted.
