Mr. Nolan was very knowledgeable and very precise with the his work. He took great care in making sure that our piano was restored to its maximum potential despite its age and wear. We will certainly contact him again for future service that our piano may require.

I was pleased with it.

"Some times when you work on a piano it doesn't take that much time to get the Job done, our fees are dependent on the amount of time it takes, tried to be fair about the price, not why they gave us a B rating but it turned out well and i was satisfied with the results"

Fine job. Recommended doing again in 6 months to finish job since it was so far out of tune. Took about 1 hour.
Response from A 440-Nolan Piano Tuning
"I appreciate the Complement from the Customer, Her piano was very bad out of tune and it took roughly two hours of work to get it back to where it needed to be, in situation like this it usually take another tuning in 6 to 12 months to get it back to where it needs to be, when you have a piano this bad it cost's a little more and takes a little more time to get it back to Normal, :0)"

The good news is the piano made it in the house and Mr. Nolan's communication up the the move was good. The rest of the expereince was not up to expectations. I had used a piano mover on the front end of the trip so had a good understanding of the types of equpment and precautions that could be taken to safely and effectively move a very heavy piano. Multiple straps, boards to protect floors in the house, enough man power to effectively do the job, etc. What we got on this end was one big guy and the owner trying to litterally manhandle a 1000lb piano, with my wif'e's help of course, into our home with no protection or protection/safety for our house or the guys doing the work. I ended up paying $175 ($25 over quote) for a serivce I could have gotten for free by asking a few friends to come over. I expected a lot more from someone who's business it is to move and tune pianos, escpecially considering how relatively delicate a 1920's player is.

Great! Piano movers were very careful with piano and home. The refinish is beautiful! The job took a while, but I stated that I was not in a particular hurry for it. Regrettably, I know very little about the piano or how to play it (it is an heirloom passed through several generations), but much time and care was taken in the retuning process. I strongly believe Mr. Nolan knows what he's doing. Considering the intricate carving and spindles accenting the wood exterior, refinishing could not have been easy. I am very happy with the job done!

"Sometime people don't tell you everything that you need to know before going into a job and this is one of those situation, had we been told the actual size of the piano we would have had two other Guys there to help while moving the piano, the Home owner was trying to cut cost and the blunt of the situation got put on us, we were able to get the piano moved with out any accident or damage to the Piano or the Home, That's the Goal of the situation in Getting the Job done, My Guys work hard to make sure that No Damage Happens to what we are moving, :0) and so far we have never had Damage in any way to anything we have ever moved, Thats very good considering 28 doing it."
