Animal Burial/Cremation
During the coronavirus my pet died and I took him to pet rest. Lady on the phone booked the wrong cremation service. With the coronavirus people are having to wait in cars these days for staff to come outside. They didn’t collect the money FIRST. (When I called I got the pricing I picked what I wanted and I took cash with me.) When it was discovered they booked the wrong cremation service, I discovered it was another $225 more and explained that was never my intention. The owner and lady on the phone came outside yelling at me in the parking lot and ruining the entire experience adding a great deal more stress to the situation than need be. Explaining the whole time this was a pretty big misunderstanding and they should have collect their fee upfront to avoid confusion! They threaten to keep my dogs ashes until I paid for him with absolutely no consideration with everyone out of work during the pandemic. I left them a major credit card, said they should consider a reduction in fee! It was a horrible experience they wrecked me acting ugly and greedy. They charged the full amount to my credit card and would never discuss a reduction in fee. The owner so far has refused to apologize. That would not have cost her anything! So shame on these people they acted heartless rude and cruel. No compassion just pay them or else they start threatening you while you are grieving. Stay away from this place! These are not good people and they don’t have respect for the departed, they are in it for the money ONLY

This was the 11th time that we have used Pet Rest. The staff is always very kind and caring. We have always appreciated
the service that they provide. We had the opportunity to drop off our pet this last time - we were very impressed with the
facilities! We would highly recommend them .

Losing a pet is like losing a family member. Pet Rest was very professional and treated us as if we were the only one who had ever lost a pet. They were so kind.

They are very understanding and very sensitive to your emotional state when losing a pet. They were very helpful and walked me through the process and did exactly what they said they would do and delivered on time. I have used them several times, unfortunately, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

The first thing they said to me was how sorry they were for my family's loss. They then informed me that the process was finished and that they noticed I lived in Summerville and could come directly to their business and pick him up instead of going back to the emergency vet, where they picked him up from. The staff member went over different containers and costs with me over the phone and when I stated that we were planning on spreading his ashes she suggested that I save the money on an expensive container and take him home in the included plastic container. She assured me that I could always purchase a more ornate container if I liked.
When I went in to pick up Bailey's ashes the staff member was very kind and again expressed her sympathies for our loss. At no point in time did they ever attempt to sell me anything or try to get me to spend more money. They were incredibly kind and understanding. I certainly recommend their services.

They were very good and understanding. They could have charged me a whole lot more. I didn't understand how cremation worked. I just wanted to know that I had my pet's remains. All I had ever heard of was receiving a mixture of ashes from pets that were cremated that week. I told them that I wanted a private cremation, and it was $300 just for that part. She explained another process where animals are cremated at the same time but with separate ashes, and it was much cheaper. They didn't have to tell me that. I had already told the vet to tell them that I wanted a private cremation.
