They are wonderful. I used them at another house but I am getting ready to start it here at the new house with them. The other house was under a termite bond. I had a termite bond with them for for 22 years. The termite bond was $150 then it went to $175. Now, they are telling me it is $200 which is in line with everyone else. Very reasonably priced treatment, and they really do a good job as far as promptness and making appointments. They have very wonderful office staff. It is a family owned and operated business, they are wonderful! I can't say enough about them. If they do keep your house under bond and you find termites, such as I did right after I moved in. They honor that bond and come back at their expense. They repair any damage due to the termites and they spray again. The bond that I have here is under another company and I am not going to renew it. I am going back to them.

They do good work though there price was a bit high and they were really experts and there service was the best and the quality its self was good. And I would use him again in the future.

Mr. Elam came out and inspected our home and gave us a verbal estimate of what services he felt we needed and the cost. We agreed on a date for the services.
A sub-contractor came out and removed all the fiberglass insulation from our crawl space. Next two technicians came out and treated the exterior of our home for both subterranean and Formosan termites. When that was completed, technicians came out and replaced our old moisture barrier with a new one. Mr. Elam said they would come back in about three months to check on some fungus he found; he said he felt sure with the new moisture barrier that the fungus would dry up and would not be a problem.
Prior to beginning the work Mr. Elam gave us the option of paying half up-front or paying in full upon completion of the work. We chose to pay when the work was completed. He agreed but said he would have to immediately send in $125 for an insurance policy to cover us in case there was ever any termite damage and that we would get a copy of the policy.
Upon completion, we paid Mr. Elam in full.
I asked for a copy of the insurance policy but was sent an "Exclusive $100,000 Termite Service Contract" through Elam's Pest Control Company. It was explained that this was the warranty on the termite treatment and that there was a miscommunication regarding an insurance policy.
I felt we should have been given a written inspection report and estimate up front, but other than that I feel Elam's did a good job. They are a family-owned business and I felt confident that Mr. Elam was not trying to sell us something more than we needed and his price was certainly much fairer than that quoted by a national company.
We are now looking forward to the three month reinspection of any fungus present in the crawl space. (As of yet this has not been done.)

After removing the insulation (which he will begin tomorrow) his crew will treat our house for subterranean and Formosan termites by digging a trench around the house and applying the chemicals and covering them over. Then he will install 6mm moisture barrier over the ground in the crawl space.
He will check with us in 2-4 months to see if the moisture and fungus problem has abated. If it has not, he will give us a quote for treating that. The yearly renewal will be $175 and will not go up for at least 5 years.
Mr. Elam was very friendly, professional, explained his training and experience. He gave me the names of two people in my neighborhood who had used him for termite treatment and while he inspected the house, I called both people and got very favorable responses. He suggested I check him out on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau which I did. They have been in business since 1970 and he explained everything he would do and why.
I'll write another review when the work is completed. By the way, we didn't have to pay anything up-front. We pay when the job is done as proposed.

They made several trips out to the house to get everything right. It cannot be done in one trip. They were always professional and courteous as well as mostly on time. The first trip was to install the bait stations, the 2nd was to check them. Each time they checked the attic for the animals. The third and fourth trips were to install the screenings.

Pest control services do not include home repair, we do offer suggestions to prevent future infestation such as screening or closing areas of possible entry. They were really good! It was great, they did every thing they said they would do and they came back and double checked and it was wonderful. The employees were wonderful because I had many conversations on the phone with them and they always took the time to answer all my questions. They were very thorough. The last service date was about the third week in October and it cost about five hundred dollars. I was satisfied so the price was good. Everything was perfect, I had no complaints whatsoever.

They placed the bait stations and showed me where the squirrels were getting in. Quoted me a price of $500 to seal three areas. While that price may seem high, there is quite a bit of work involved and they guarantee it. In fact my wife spotted one of those tree rats sneaking in the bottom of the A/C unit in the frog. They came back out right away and fixed that one as well.

I called Elam's Pest Control from Angies list. He answered the phone and made an appointment. Very punctual. Examined the area and then recommended treatment. Provided the treatment and we now have no problems with bees! Very happy.

It was not pleased with the firm that was handling my termite control and was searching for another firm. From my initial telephone call, to the completion of the project, I am very pleased that I had called Elam's. I had interviewed several firms and Elam's price was competitive. I also felt I needed immediate attention and I got it! A crew, Ron and Charlie, came to my house and did a complete inspection and termite treatment. Everyone was on time, professional and most polite. I have also signed up for annual inspections. I would highly recommend this firm.

Elam's is fantastic. They treat not only my house but my rental property too. Both houses are within a quarter mile from the Ashley River so the Palmetto Bugs and Silver Fish can be quite overwhelming at times depending on the temperature and rain fall. They treat both houses on the same day with back to back appointments. Scott is ALWAYS on time! I am on a 3-4 month schedule and pay $55/house.

I discovered termites swarming around in my kitchen, concentrating around a large window. Mr. Elam promptly came out to analyze the potential damage and to provide an estimate for services- and bond coverage. The price was not the least expensive of the three quotes I obtained, but Elam's offered more comprehensive services for my money. If the others I contacted had taken the time/attention to properly assess my home, it's quite possible they would have charged me as much, if not more.
I certainly didn't regret my choice. From the owner, to the office manager, right down to the servicemen who performed the job, this is a company I was pleased to do business with! They were honest, prompt, dependable, and very thorough, yet efficient. The Elam's crew worked together as a real team with such professionalism, they truly turned a nightmare situation into a pleasant experience. I've had no problems since their visit- all's clear. They did exactly what they said they would do- and more. My thanks to Mr. Elam, Jerri, Joseph, and Ron. More companies should do business the way these folks do!

Charlie came out and was professional, courteous and friendly. He was careful not to disturb or harm my three cats when he did his spraying for bugs. He also looked for termites which I do not have and explained their bond program with costs involved and what it would cost if their was an infestation. As a courtesy he looked outside and around my home for any infestations I should be aware of.Charlie had come out last year I think about July 25, 2011 and performed the same service. We have not had ANY bugs in the home for that entire year (and this has been a warm winter with hot spring/summer). The only pests that we saw would be an occasional flying one coming through open doorways. Also, all spring and first part of the summer we found dead outside cockroaches in the garage. So in my opinion the pest control barrier was perfect.When he came to spray he saw missing floor boards inside my house and I explained how we had a leak inside wall separating great room from master bedroom that resulted in flooding. He informed me that Elam's also does home renovation. So, considering how happy we are with them as a pest control company I will be consulting with them as a possible renovation contractor and obtain an estimate.
