Clearview Auto Glass

The experience was pleasant and not many auto rpars are. I searched on Angies list looking for Dos and Don'ts. I also searched online and with coworkers. I called PPG and asked "when you get your wind shield replaced who does the installation". He said Clearview. I found that the bad experiences came from trying to take shortcuts. I don't want a problems in the future. I decided to go to a shop and let the Technician do the job in his comfortable work environment instead of making the drive way of my home or the parking lot at work be the job site. This way he has all the tools. I called the office to make an appointment. I asked if I could have a PPG windshield to replace my cracked one. The nice receptionist  gave me the next day at time of my choice documented that I wanted PPG windshield and told me Clearview only installs quality glass. I called  to confirm my appointment. They said to please be on time. As I pulled in the drive way the Technician waved me directly into the service bay. I love doing business on time. I went inside to do the small amount of paperwork and the quote was written up as discussed. The PPG windshield was listed on the quote. They began work before I could leave the shop. It is a safe neighborhood and there are about a dozen places to eat within walking distance. The ladies at the front desk are professional and very polite. I asked technical question that they knew the answers to. Without reading from a script. I'm particular with some things and they put me at ease. After eating I returned my truck had a new windshield. But It had PGW in the corner not PPG. The manger told me of a recent name change from PPG to PGW "Pittsburgh Glass Works". And a quick Goggle search confirmed. The experience was pleasant and not many auto repairs are.
