Last year, we called Ted's, a company we had used two or three times previously, to ask about a water heater problem. Even though water heaters are not his specialty, Ted came out consulted with us on the problem. Clearly, he understood the problem, but he did not try to "snow" us and try to put a temporary fix in, but suggested something we could try before replacing the water heater. Since Ted's is not really in the water heater business, I appreciated his insight and counsel.
Previously, we had used Ted's to install new ductwork to feed heat and air to a room that we finished off. They did a timely and quality job for an excellent price, even installing a cut-off flap at the SOURCE of the new ducting, so that we could just open/close the new room to heat and air as we wanted to.
Another time, we called Ted's to look at our a/c system after being told by another contractor that our two a/c units needed immediate replacement. Ted said he could fix them up for a fraction of the price of new systems -- and he did. This was literally several years ago, and the units have been working fine ever since.
I trust Ted -- that's my highest praise. And it doesn't hurt that his prices are very reasonable.

The only problem I had was arranging appointment for this service. I purchased this coupon and they we to call and
set up appointment and never did. I had to call the 3 times before I could actually set up and appointment.
"We appreciate the review you gave concerning the removal of your duct system and installation of new equipment and duct system. Also, noticed you mentioned insulating crawl space and jacking up sagging floor. We do not do house insulation or floor construction. Therefore, Ted's Heating & A/C Co., Inc. must be confused with another company. Because we did not do this job."
Removed the old, dead units from the crawl space under the house (not a pleasant task I am sure) together with all of the old ductwork, wiring, piping, etc, etc and carted it all away.Installed all new ductworks and insulation, based and connected the new Packaged HVAC Unit; checked all twice to ensure all connections were good; installed all new registers and thermostat. Cleaned-up and removed all left-overs. Tested and adjusted all.
And everything was done in accordance with all applicabe codes following which it was inspected and approved by the authorities.All in all, a first class excelent job by all involved.
