I needed my fireplace serviced for the season and my gas light lit.

They handled everything from the permitting and will complete the final trim in a couple weeks. They are extremely professional and solved the conundrum that was one of my fireplaces. The work spanned over several days and they did an exceptional job. I will not be going anywhere else for any of services they provide.

Gentleman came in and looked at the fireplace and knew exactly what needed to be done since there was quite a bit of soot in and around the fireplace. Within a half hour the fireplace the major build up was cleaned and issue causing it fixed. Have not had a problem since.

We had Souhtern Heath out because our gas fireplace wasn't functioning properly. Troy identified that a wire was loose and quickly fixed it. He also noticed that the fireplace hadn't been set up properly to begin with and remedied that. We had him install a blower to circulate the heat better which he did and explained how go use it. He was able to answer all our questions and was obviously very knowledgeable and experienced. Troy completely cleaned the fireplace inside and out so it looks brand new and is working great. Troy was very polite and professional. He cleaned up after himself and really went above and beyond.

We were having trouble getting the gas logs to light and run well.  The tech was on time and professional.  He came in, took the fireplace apart, and cleaned the burners and logs.  He put the logs back and added embers for a more natural look for no additional cost.  It looks and works perfectly now.  Also, he installed a remote.  Overall, very happy and impressed with the service.

Very Knowledgeable and honest about what needed to be done

I have written a previous review of Southern Hearth and gave them a grade of F after no one showed for a scheduled appointment to look at the project and provide an estimate. Jim called later after the review was written and apologized - there was a mix-up due to the snow and bad weather. I then did hire them and I am very pleased with the outcome. The team from Southern Hearth was very professional, efficient and detailed in removing the existing fireplace and installing the new one. There was some challenge as the existing fireplace was a direct vent while the new one was non-vented. The workers handled this very well. The job was completed in one day and excellent clean-up was provided. Overall very pleased.
