I have waited approximately eleven months for Riverview Plumbing Repair to address a workmanship issue. I brought a case against Riverview to the Fort Mill Magistrate (the first and only case that I have ever submitted anywhere), and I was awarded a judgment. (I believe that I may have been awarded more, but the judge would not present most of my evidence, because of cyber security concerns. I had submitted a lot of visual evidence, using pictures and videos, on a flash drive after receiving the reply, “Yes just bring a flash drive to us!!” from a Court Specialist.) But much like my emails regarding the workmanship issue, the owner has ignored my messages to resolve the workmanship issue and the judgment. I have spoken to the receptionist (who is the owners’ wife), but she has told me I need to speak with the plumber/owner. He has not returned my calls or responded to my emails. Thus, I have also submitted paperwork to the Better Business Bureau. I hired Riverview to do a full house repipe project in May, 2021, because I had numerous Dura-Pex leaks. In previous years, I had fixed five leaks myself prior to hiring this plumber. I had a very good idea of what needed to be done, and I had actually done most of the drywall removal/preparatory work myself. During the Estimate walk-through, I made specific requests regarding how to access specific piping between a bathroom and the laundry room and piping to an upstairs bathtub. Those requests were not followed. Although the Invoice email sent via his cell phone while the owner was in my house contains this verbiage, “The greatest compliment we can receive from a customer is a referral to a friend or neighbor, if there is any reason that you would not refer us please contact us so that we may address the issue.”, the owner did not want to hear my feedback. He actually told me something like, “there is nothing that can be done now”...and after his “work” that was true. He tried to loudly justify his approach, although I had confirmed with the York County building inspector, who was a former plumber, that he easily could have used the approach that I requested. That York County inspector also initially failed the plumbing inspection, because the owner/plumber missed SIX spots of fire caulking. I paid the invoice, which was basically a duplicate of the Estimate and contained no detail for plumbing supplies or labor, in full by handing the owner a check after voicing my displeasure on a Friday, the last day of the project. The following Wednesday, I noticed the workmanship issue. So, I sent an email to the email address that was used to send the Invoice to me. I sent a total of four emails over various months regarding the issue, but never received a response. Thus, I filed the paperwork for my Civil Case in December. Although I have not had any additional pipe leaks since the project, the workmanship issue has not been addressed. The Fort Mill Magistrate judgment has not been addressed. In my opinion, this is the worst customer service I have received on any home project in any house that I have ever owned. I always try to use a small local company for things that I do not address myself, but I would not recommend Riverview Plumbing Repair. I totally understand that no one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. Unfortunately, it appears that the owner of Riverview Plumbing Repair does not see that he can make mistakes...even though the initial inspection failed due to his workmanship.

Everything about Riverview was excellent. We received a very reasonable ballpark estimate over the phone for the work we described (unlike other places that wanted to charge us to come out just to see the work involved!), with the understanding that it could change if problems were encountered. The service was completed quickly and neatly, and the gentlemen even took the time to show us a few things on the water heater and answer some questions. When it was all finished, we paid the original estimate, since there were no additional problems, and received a receipt via email. We will definitely call them in the future and pass their name around to our neighbors!

The faucet had to be tightened from underneath. Since it is a very deep sink, reaching up behind it with a special tool was beyond my capability. Riverview came in and had it tightened in less than 10 minutes (maybe five). Called before arriving and showed up in the time frame quoted at appointment time.

Quick scheduling of appointment. Great e-mail confirmations of appointment and e-mailed receipt when done. Tech called about 15-20 mins before he arrived. He was courteous and professional, He had to cut a whole in my drywall (after trying his best to avoid having to) and did it very neatly and put the piece back in place when done. Very happy with the service.

I hired Scott to install a new gas line in a house we bought, excellent, professional service there. Then had him install tankless water heater and remove an old electric water heater that was scaled over to the point that he had to remove it FULL of water and drain it outside. He also installed gas logs. Excellent service and installations. Third visit was to install kitchen sink, faucet, disposer, and connect dishwasher and all plumbing associated with that. Excellent service with a smile again. Fourth visit was to clear a clog in our outside septic line which had been broken at some point. Most recent visit was due to a leak in a pipe in the crawlspace associated with the removal of the hot water heater -- no charge for that at all. I would trust him with any and all plumbing work. He's conscientious, honest, and positive always.

Scott was prompt, price was very reasonable for drain clearing. I had another quote that was $450-485. Another call was reasonable but couldn't come this week. Riverview was timely and reasonable. Very careful about assessing all options and gave good advice for follow up plumbing improvements.

I was selling my house and the inspection turned up a leak. Scott came out the same day and went right to work looking for the leak. Turned out he had to open a closet wall to fix it. Work was done quickly and neatly. He obviously knows his trade very well. All was done at a fair price. I plan on using him for another job soon.

Excellent. Best contractor I've ever hired! Was hesitant about calling another plumber as I have been ripped off so many times before. Scott was extremely competent he knew what he was doing and got the job done efficiently and even with two hours labor I was charged an extremely fair price. He also left me with the parts he replaced so I could show my husband. He took the time to explain everything as he went along to make sure I understood what he was doing and also be able to explain later. I am so relieved to finally find someone reputable as Riverview Plumbing is. I can honestly say even after just one experience that I trust them totally.

Great. Scott suggested the interior parts that needed to be replaced. After the repairs all the toilets flush easier and don't run. We have used Scott and Riverview twice before for various repairs. He suggests the best way to fix the problems at the best price, he's very honest. We're very happy with his service and now he's our go to plumber.

It went great! A representative came in and explained how the situation occurred and cleared the drain. He was very professional and prompt. He also provided tips on how to avoid this type of clog.
