After she left as we continued getting ready for the part I noticed a couple things got missed. I think she forgot to vacuum in the formal living room where our Christmas tree was, because I noticed some debris behind a couple chairs near the tree. The chairs are easy enough to move (they are light and slide easily on the hardwoods) so I don't know why that section of the room was not vacuumed. I also found some bits of debris (dust, paper, etc.) near one of the lamps in the same room, which a vacuum would have easily picked up. I also don't believe she wiped down the blinds in our TV room because I had to dust those myself the morning of the party when I found that the dust could be seen when the side lamps were turned on. Lastly, while cleaning the kitchen she accidently dropped one of our stove burner guards onto the floor, and it broke. I told her not to worry about it since we have a fifth burner that we rarely use and we could put it on there, but I would have appreciated at least an offer to replace it.
Despite these misses, she still did a good job overall (and better than some other cleaners we've hired in the past) and so we've hired Jammie to begin a bimonthly cleaning of our house in the new year.
