Where to begin. Would give zero stars if possible. I never leave reviews, (first time ever), so its pretty bad if I'm leaving a review. Paid for a full year up front. Thousands for lawn service, treatments, aeration, seeding, everything. Learned my lesson. They use cheap mulch that is overpriced and bleaches out in a month, had them trim shrubs once, spent the next day cleaning up their mess from trimming, did shrub trimming myself after that. I have to call and complain to get them to spray weeds. My lawn and flower beds stay full of weeds. Was complaining almost every month. The cutting service is complete garbage. They run a standing platform mower through your yard as fast as possible rutting up the lawn and missing spots no pattern or training the grass to the way they cut. Their crews have a sloppy get it done fast ethic. I would say, out of a year, i was satisfied with about four times they cut. For the thousands i paid for the year they have missed six cuts. I still was billed for those up front. If you have to use them, negotiate your price up front or pay monthly so you can hold them accountable every month. I doubt you will be pleased. I paid for cuts all winter months (three months, no lawn service provided, no weeeding, no edging, no shows). Being new to the area, i was unsure of what i needed. So i apparently paid for four cuts a month through the winter no show months. Never will do business with them again. For what you pay, the service and fifteen minutes they spend on your lawn to make it look like trash everyweek is not worth it. Also i distinctly, multiple times asked for everything quoted and scheduled up front so i could pay for everything at once, and be done. They hit me with a suprise fungicide bill every month in the summer thats not everything up front like i negotiated. I feel for the owner and his wife, they are good people and mean well. They need better crews, better culture, maybe more training for their employees, establish standards and need to straighten up there quotes and service packages. Quality goes a long way. People are willing to pay more for quality. My lessons learned. Cut your own lawn, find a good treatment business to handle the fertilizer, overseeding and aerating. It's frustrating because i have physical disabilities that make doing these things painful and difficult. I dont have much choice. Buying your own tools saves you tons of money and you control the quality. Stay away from this service.

Contacted Green Acres early April 2019, hoping to get work done before heat of summer. After accepting proposal, there were long lags in contact/response from him. He finally got around to doing the install mid-June, during intense heat. Two plants installed were wrong type then he informed me that what we had agreed upon would not do well here, so we decided on something else, which was finally installed weeks later. Now, of 10 plants installed, 2 have done fairly well, 1 (the tiniest rose bush I have ever seen) has not even grown and the rest are dead or close to dead - having started to look stressed immediately after planting. I'm not sure how the other 2 have survived. I'm no expert, but I'm thinking that it is a combination of having been installed during such extreme heat and just being plunked down into clay soil with no amendment. I contacted JV Vacher (owner) about a guarantee (which most other landscapers offer) and he told me that if he guaranteed, he would not be able to do the work as cheaply. Well, if you ask me, $675 for 2 survivable plants is pretty expensive. Now I will have to have all that done again this year - this time by a reputable landscaper.

"Hello Ms. [Member Name Removed], We understand your frustration with plants not performing as expected; sometimes there are variables that need to be considered (watering, etc...). Green Acres operates with integrity, as shared in the phone/email conversations."

The owner, JV, was quick to respond to my phone call. Communication is great, he always keeps you posted when needed. They show up as promised and the fee is competitive for the area. I've also have had them trim bushes and weed flower beds. They do a good job for a good price.

They were scheduled for two to three days but since rain was in the forecast they worked longer days to get it completed. I was very happy and impressed with their patience and time in making sure the fence looked even (the property slopes and has strange angles), I was extremely happy with their work. A neighbor came over requesting a quote on their lawn! I would highly recommend them

I have used JV (Green Acres) as my lawn service for almost 10 years. He handles my lawn services, fertilizing, bush trimming, etc and I am never disappointed. I am the type of consumer that will not hesitate ending a contract for bad service experiences - 10 years without considering anyone else for my yard service needs shows my support of him and his company. He is very accommodating and his prices are reasonable.

The owner was extremely professional and courteous. This company was on schedule and on time for doing all the jobs. He was prompt in his responsiveness and he had extremely good prices. I will use him again in the future.
