Fling Irrigation

SCAM ARTISTS! Be warned. They will try to charge you for work that you never agreed to pay. Then they will harass you until you pay them for that work that you never agreed to pay for. And if that isn't enough, the owner of the company was nasty and rude to my wife on the phone. I would give negative stars if I could. The owner falsely & nastily accused us of "trying to get one over on him". When we finally agreed to pay them for half of what they were harassing us for, the owner responded "fine, I'm a busy man and have other things to do". Extremely unprofessional and cannot believe how this kind of person runs a business. And if you are still reading this and are interested in more details... After they completed the agreed work (the reason they came in the first place), they asked if there was anything else that needs to be done. I simply responded "I plan to do this myself, but you can see some of the sprinkler heads I need to raise". They said "they would do that, no problem!". There was no mention of pay so I figured it was just a quick courteous fix since they already had the tools out. After fiddling around with the sprinkler heads for about 5-10 minutes, they left. Then I get a bill for that work a day later. I tell the owner I never signed off on paying anyone to do that. I said the only reason I let them fiddle around with the sprinkler heads was because it seemed to be just a courteous gesture that took 5-10 minutes before they left. On the phone, the owner said "you should know a business never does anything for free, now pay me or I'll send dispatch after you"... like what?! This is the OWNER! I knew that was an empty threat (one he couldn't even do), and I was fully planned to block their number and pay them nothing, but we eventually agreed to pay half just to get them to quit finding ways to harass us. I don't normally like leaving bad reviews, but the world should know this company is HORRIBLE. They have business being a business.

Terrible. Please use another irrigation company. Trust me you do not want to use this company.

They come out every Thursday. We are on an annual contract with them. They do a good job, but I think they are expensive. They did a wonderful job of landscaping, however, the landscaping has not lasted. I have been a little bit frustrated by that. I don't think I would highly recommend them to anybody. In fact, we might look for somebody else. 

On their weekly services, they do a very nice job of cutting the lawn, blowing the leaves, and trimming the trees. I can't fault them for that. They don't do a lot of business around here. One of our neighbor's uses them as well, and they do a wonderful job there.

The quality of the routine maintenance is good, but for the shrubbery I think I would have somebody else do it. They are fine, until I find someone new. I think I just need to find somebody else that is more responsive.

The service from Fling Irrigation used to be acceptable. We had used them from time to time since 1999. However, they are no longer trustworthy or competent. We needed a single zone valve repaired (ultimately turned out to be an electrical short in the valve wiring). They were totally unable to diagnose the problem or locate the valve, and ran up a huge bill attempting to fix other (normally operating) valves, before finally admitting to us that "it would help if we could see your original diagrams," which I dutifully provided. They finally fixed the appropriate valve, and invoiced us for $2000 dollars! Previous valve repairs done by Fling and by other vendors had cost $300 or less. Needless to say, I would strongly advise avoiding Fling Irrigation

Someone ran over a row of our sprinkler heads.  We called Fling to have them determine why the system wasn't working.  They came out promptly, walked around for about 45 minutes searching for the valves with a metal detector looking piece of equipment.  Then they said that they are getting too many readings in the yard and would have to come back Monday with a better piece of equipment.  They were paid for their service call for that day.  Monday came and went, no call and they didn't show up.  On Tuesday, I called and left a message.  No return call.  On Thursday, I called and spoke with someone who informed me that the person dealing with my yard was having a personal emergency and I would be contacted on Monday.  So on Monday, no one called or showed up again.  I ended up having to go with a different company because they didn't want my business.

Went very well. Mike Fling spent time diligently tracing control wires to find the open circuit in buried wires in the yard.

Fling irrigation came to my house to trouble shoot an issue with my irrigation system that had been taking place for over 6 months. Within 10 minutes they found the issue and fixed it quickly. Very satisfied!

They were great. All went fine.

Simple process. Showed up the date they promised and submitted all paperwork to the city for me.

They were good. We were very satisfied with them. I know that I would use them again if I needed them.

Replaced shut off valve, repaired leak, checked timer/control panel.

They were so prompt, communicated well, worked tirelessly to find and fix the problem. They communicated clearly with me each step they were taking, what parts were needed. They programmed my new box for me and explained how it worked in detail. I have no complaints and the system is working beautifully. I would definitely use them again.

for Chris Hancock's team. The crew came to my rescue after another
landscaper left me in a bind. While working for a neighbor, I spoke to
his foreman, told him my dilemma, and Chris was immediate to provide a
quote and crew to finish up the job. What made it so special was it was
Mother's Day, and his crew stayed overtime to help me out. The entire
crew worked very fast and carefully to complete all the work and at the
end, it was PERFECT. My wife and I could not be happier, to have saved
us on such a special day was the best gift ever.

They are great - just terrific. When I say terrific, everything they say under the contract they do and I really appreciate it. Other people in the business look to get away with cheesy stuff but not Fling. They do the total job. We have a big yard and it costs $3300 a year, they take care of the bushes and everything. I just can't thank them enough or say enough. They stick to what they tell me. If I ask something for some little help, something that isn't in the contract they even do that. I really enjoy their services. They have good hard workers, I can't believe anybody wouldn't want them. I've told a lot of people in the community they should use Fling and they do it. They do what they say they are going to do. I have no complaints.

Fling completed all of the irrigation and landscaping work in a fairly timely manner, the quality was fair and the price was fair. Unfortunately four of the arborvitae died. I tried to get answers regarding their warranty on the shrubs and after numerous emails and phone messages go unreturned I finally got in contact with Chris Hancock. His answer was that they don't stand behind their work. Additionally, after 12 months of inadequate landscaping services I have a lawn that is overridden with weeds. Fling did all the landscaping for 35 homes in Serenity Point (Tega Cay) and the consensus is their quality and customer service is poor. The 14 year old boy down the street has my lawn looking better is 30 days that Fling did in 12 months.

They are conscientious. If I have a problem, I either call the people or the owner, and they will get right back to me. I like that about this company.

No complaints. I've never had anyone do a better job than they do. Now that we are in our 70s, we are certainly not going out to get lawn mowers. They do a good job. I have no complaints for seven years. They take care of all of the property that is owned in our community.

A service person who was supposed to fix an irrigation leak showed up one day and promised to come back the next day. He did not call again for 1-2 weeks and claimed he had kidney surgery. He then came back and gave us an estimate for work of under $100 and then said he could not find our leak. He said we could try to have the system flushed out for $300 and we said no. Our system was never fixed and then Fling Irrigation billed us $497.00 for fixing the system. They are rude and unprofessional.

They had to repair work that another company had done and they did a great job. They were professional. They got back to us in a timely matter on an estimate and to actually do the work.

They were excellent.
