He came early for the appointment. I wasn't here, my mother was here and let him in. He put down all of his tarps before I could get there. Before I arrived he opened up the paint and poured it into the tray and once I got there, told me really loudly that he was going to have to charge me $200 for the job and by that point it was too late for me to ask him to leave, because he had already poured the paint. All he did was paint my stairwell. I have a 1500 sq foot town home. There was only 1 set of stairs and he was painting the two sides of the stairwell and the landing, a very small portion of my house. I provided the paint. I couldn't tell him to leave because he already poured my paint and had everything set up. I felt very intimidated. He was very loud and rough. The paint job, itself, is horrible. You can see many different directions of paint lines (horizontal/vertical/diagonal) He brought catapillars into my home, and there are even some painted into the wall. He did not take the plates off my light switches, and painted over them. I also had a mirror on the wall and he just painted around it, without taking it down and painting behind it. He was VERY rude and kept throwing things around and dropping things, letting them fall, etc. My mother was there as well, and we were both scared of this guy. Then he had the nerve to ask me to recommend him to my neighbor. He told me up front (after explaining what I needed painted) that it would only cost me $100. He poured my paint and informed me it would cost me $200. I'm still going to have to have someone come out and touch up his mistakes.

Daniel got the job done, but the cleanup was not what I expected. Found broken cable outlet cover, missing outlet covers, wireless internet not connected back correctly, wallpaper scrapings on floor and cabinets, small section around window that was not painted the same (missing a coat or 2). The price was substantially less than others that I reviewed, and the job I requested did get done, just not to the standard I would have liked.

Daniel Johnson did a poor job painting the interior of our kitchen, dining room and living room. He left a mess and actually ruined the crown molding along the wall, which we did not discover until he left as he hid the damage with a box. Also, he left the house without finishing the job, stating that he had an emergency and he would come back to finish up. We paid him for the work before he left, but then he would not come back to finish up the job. We called Daniel Johnson numerous times and left numerous messages, but Daniel would not return our phone messages. I definitiely would not recommend Daniel Johnson to anyone. Totally irresponsible and i feel totall dishonest with us. Forget about using him.

I sent Daniel an email through Angies List and he returned my call promptly and came to my house at the agreed upon time to see what work I would like done.  He charges a flat $250 for 9 hours of work and showed up on time at 7:00 AM today (4/12/13) and had all the necessary equipment necessary to complete my jobs. The work is excellent and he was great to work with plus he cleaned up any mess he made.  He also gave me advice on what kind of flooring I need to purchase to replace my kitchen floor and advice on new window blinds.

Once I purchase the needed flooring materials and window blinds, I will have him return to lay down the floor and install the window blinds.  I will also have him paint the rest of the interior walls in my house.

I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking to get their work done at a reasonable cost.

Update: Provider did not return to fix newly discovered mistakes.

Everything went as smoothly as it could considering the unavoidable variables, such as stubborn nails and uneven cuts of the original builders.

It was perfect. He really went out of his way to help on Christmas Eve.

He calls and schedules ahead. He shows up on time and works quickly. He completed the floor job in just one day.

He did great. He was respectful and considerate and his work was great.

In my most recent experience with Daniel, things went as they always do:

1. I left a message for him
2. He promptly returned my call and we set up a date. He advised me what type of stain I should purchase and I purchased that in advance (During our call he advised me that Sherwin Williams was going to have a sale in two weeks, so if I waited I could save $10.00 on each gallon of stain - HOWand quot;S THAT FOR SERVICE!)
3. He arrived on the scheduled date.
4. He did a great job.
5. We talked about scheduling a pressure washing of my house in the Spring.

As usual, a great experience.
