The builders assumed that the foundation was level and square, as it should have been. They then put the floor joists on. It was only when the walls were going up, that it was noticed that the foundation was not level and not square. We called Mr. Jacobs back out, who admitted it was incorrect. He offered to correct it, but another person he works with said they would not fix it, and they left together. We contacted Mr. Jacobs again, who said he would fix it. Since so much work was already done, we did not want it fixed. We just wanted him to mortar the gaps, since the workers were able to properly lift it to make it level and square. He eventually agreed to do so.
