Everything went well. There was no longer a need for the home inspection because we made our decision on the house before the services were provided. Steve was very understanding and had no problem changing the arrangement. He comes off as knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. If I do need a home inspection in the future I will be calling him!

Initially I was happy with the service, having moved into the home I have found many issues. I have had a few different professional in the home to so some repairs and they have informed of many things that should have been covered in my home inspect that were not. 

The chimney sweep told me that the inspector should have seen that the fire place was not going to work due to some hazardous wood. . The washer couldn't be hooked up because the plug was to old, the drying couldn't be plugged in because the plug was for a stove not a dryer. When you pull up the duck on the floor you can see into the crawl space under the house. There was no garbage disposal and no wires for one. When a service provider showed up to install a garbage disposal he said the pipes weren't correctly capped off under the kitchen sink. There is an unfinished heating and air condition vent that comes up under my kitchen sink, which is useless. 

Went very well!  He was able to fit me in for next day service!  He arrived on time (and even a few minutes early), performed a very through full home inspection including the crawl space on a 1940s home.  He was very professional and answered all the questions I had on the home.  And had the report back to me by the end of the day!  Would definitely use him again!  Thanks Angie's List for a great referral!

I highly recommend Steve Zimmerman to anyone purchasing a home. The pricing is reasonable, especially for the quality of service in this important step of the home purchase. From the start, he was quick to respond to my questions. He was professional and was flexible to fit my schedule, even on short notice. He quickly obtained information from my realtor and provided the terms and details. In this correspondence, he exhibited a high level of professionalism. On the day of inspection, he was punctual and professional. He performed an extensive inspection of the house. He prepared a report with detailed pictures and identification of items found during the inspection. This report was emailed immediately upon conclusion of the inspection. The report was to the point and easy to read to identify issues. The report included a description of items inspected and their corresponding grade and details. Any items that were potentially important were described in person. In addition, good home maintenance tips were provided and given from a builder's perspective, which was valuable. I will recommend Steve Zimmerman to anyone looking for a home inspector. His experience, professionalism, and motivation during the inspection process from beginning to end were exemplary.

He performed an inspection on a rental property I was considering buying.  I say considering, because I ended up not being able to close the deal due to the damage he found on the exterior of the home. 
I arrived at the house about 15 minutes early and was happy to see that the inspector was already out and taking pictures.  He quickly pointed out two areas of structural damage and then said he would immediately go under the house to check if there was damage underneath knowing that this would likely kill the deal for the home.  
Unfortunately, the issues with the home were significant but the inspector only charged my half price because he didn't need to check the rest of the home.  This was an unprompted offer and it certainly made me a customer for life.  
He was prompt, fair and very honest.  I could not recommend this company high enough.  

Mr. Zimmerman is very thorough in his inspections.  He answered all my questions, explained how certain things functioned and showed me where I could find the emergency shut off valves were.  I would recommend him to family and friends.

Steve was very professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. I determined that I did not wish to purchase the home based on structural issues that he found during his inspection. Without his inspection I may have made a huge mistake in purchasing the home and had to deal with costly repairs. The search continues for a home and I plan on using Steve again in order to find the right house for me. He's a great guy and I highly recommend using him!
