Unfortunately, my review cannot be a positive one. Our experience was quite an ordeal. My husband was a contractor in New York, worked for many people considered millionaires, and always had a great working relationship with vendors and customers, alike. He is retired now and only takes on work that he chooses and is never without clients, even repeat clients. He recently had a small job, by The Granite Stores standards, to complete. He placed the order, they were perfectly willing at that time (early July-ish) to take the money, and was given a delivery date of 9/2/20. He called just prior to confirm. When that date arrived, not granite. He was told it was on the truck, but the first job of the day was experiencing plumbing difficulties. He was then told it would be delivered in two days. That day came and went with him being told it was on the truck ready for delivery. He was subsequently told of two more delivery dates with two more excuses. Thursday, September 10, ten days after the first promised delivery, and with 4 very untrue statements by the woman in charge, I went to the store to inquire about the delivery only to discover that the granite was just being cut that day! Why the untrue excuses?? Why not just tell the customer it is delayed?? No, I was told they were doing us a favor by taking this small order and would never be taking any more small orders. I then told the woman in charge that this transaction was not a favor as the service had been agreed upon and a deposit was accepted by the store. After I left the store, my husband was called and, contrary to the original agreement, was told he had to pay $200 more. No itemized bill/receipt was ever supplied for this transaction, which in and of itself is not a good business practice. In fact, I was initially informed that day that they had no record of our deposit and expected to get payment from me at that time. That was not going to happen, as they did not have correct records. The Granite Store seems to have built quiet a business for themselves. I applaud their business success, but if they treat customers like this, big or small, I wonder how they must treat those workers?? We were met with nothing but rudeness by the woman in charge, and yes, my husband got a little heated on one phone call, because he truly hates being what he considers lied to, repeatedly. I found this experience to be one of untruths, rudeness, and condescension. The granite did arrive, the workers installed it, and that part of the experience gets a 5 Star rating. After four untrue statements by the woman in charge, 4 lost days of work by my husband having to push his customer schedules back, threats by the woman in charge to have people come back and rip out the work that had been done, the business itself gets a zero rating. We have since found another granite business that is happy to do business with small or large orders and is much more pleasant. If asked for recommendations by present/future clients, we will be steering future granite needs customers away from doing business with The Granite Store, but will ultimately leave that decision to the customer. We do not wish The Granite Store any ill will, only that they would treat ALL customers with kindness, respect, and honesty.

This place has no management. Ordered 2 bathroom vanity granite tops. Waited 4 weeks with 5 trips to excuses of why it wasn’t done or incorrectly cut. Take your business else where and save allot of money & headaches.

Installers measurements were wrong. Countertop on the left side of the doorway extended 1 inch over the door casing and the countertop on the right side of the doorway stopped 1/4 inch before the door casing. The installers falsly claimed the sink faucet needed replaced. Original granite countertops contained so many flaws that after months of complaints "The Granite Store" agreed to replace the defective countertops. After the removal of most of the original countertops and weeks with no kitchen countertops, the replacement countertops were delivered with the same incorrect dimensions. When the installers informed The Granite Store management of the improperly cut countertops they refused to correct the problem and instructed their installers to install it incorrectly, just like the first one. The person answering calls at the Granite Store claimed no manger was available, even though the installers had just spoken to one. No one from The Granite Store called to attempt to resolve the issues.

Overall, the experience was disappointing. The showroom experience was fine - not over the top but not bad either. I chose a granite I liked and which was affordable. The options for backsplash were limited if you aren't into subway tile - at least the options I was presented with were slim. The installation was on time and fine, but the installers left quite a mess for me. Because of the tear out of existing countertops, there were bits of laminate and tile all over the place, in the lower cabinets and drawers. This is to be expected, but I anticipated a "high end" service provider would clean up a bit more. There are a few spots where the workmanship is not so great. They missed caulking the side piece along the one wall, and we made a change to a trim piece that I was told would save a little money. The problem with that is I never received any paperwork with the actual costs, so I have no idea if I paid for the more expensive piece or not. At the time, I didn't even realize it because we had so much work happening in the house with multiple contractors. But to this day I have no written invoice or statement of cost. The granite and tile have been installed for several months now, and some grout is coming loose in the backsplash along one counter. It's not an area I use often, so it can't be from bumping or wiping or usage. Overall, my kitchen looks fine. But, if I had a need for countertops in the future, I would find a different provider. The attention to detail is just not there. Maybe what we paid isn't a lot to some people, but it was a lot for us.

Went to the store as first time buyers of natural stone. We had to stand around for 10 minutes to be waited on. Once we finally got to speak to someone we were shown around outside. He knew our budget and showed us different options. I did find a more exotic piece and he did quote a great price. We came back the next day to look at the options in different lighting. We had to again wait forever to be waited on. The woman at the front of the store went back to an office to eat her lunch. I finally found someone to talk to and ask for a sample of a piece we liked. Guy came to measure and he showed up on time. Made arrangements to have the countertop put in. I was told they would be at the house and done by lunch. The day of install I call at 10am because nobody had shown up. The installers were at another house. Installers came at 1pm.They left a mess on the drive way. Left the counter dirty and dusty. We paid extra to have plumbing done and husband had to fix the drain stop .

My husband went there to give back the samples we had. The guy who drew out the plan, he was very nice. They wanted $50,000 to redo the kitchen. They didn’t actually do any work because I refused it. They just drew the blueprint. The cost was outrageous. They were too expensive.
