 + -1 moreServpro did not keep the heating unit going all the time, there were a number of occasions during the six day period that the heater was out of diesel fuel. It was out for two days at the weekend with nobody coming around to check on it. Once they deemed the crawl space "dried out" they put a dehumidifier and fan on the inside room and dried out the inside. ,A second contractor made good the inside and replaced the missing insulation in the crawl space. I went into the crawl space last weekend to move the ducting for the tumble dryer only to find that two of the joists are crumbling from dry rot and so is one of the triple timbers in the girder. Seems they did not remove all of the affected insulation with the result that the crawl space was only partially dried out. This weekend has been spent in the crawl space scrubbing off the joists. I removed a lot of insulation and about 10 of the joists are affected. I've painted Kilz onto the very worst places in the hope that I can contain the dry rot until I can get a contractor in to fix it. The floor that was made good by the second contractor will have to be cut out in order to replace these joists. I'm hoping I've managed to save the girder but am not sure of that yet. I guess I'm looking at a bill of thousands of dollars to get this mess sorted out.
Description of Work: We had a washing machine installed and the installer tie wrapped the hot, cold and outlet at the top which put a stress on the pipes in the crawl space and the hot line eventually cracked leaking a fine water mist into the crawl space for a few months. Our insurance company contracted Servpro to dry out the crawl space.
