I've been using them for several years and have been very satisfied. My garden tractor has gotten hard use and sustained damage due to hitting roots and tree stumps. They have managed to fix it up and keep it going for a reasonable price. I have gotten good, honest advice about what needs to be done and what type of mower to buy when I replace this one.

Terrible. They repaired our mower once, and the problem we had happened almost immediately upon them returning it (the tire kept falling off.) Then, we called them again to give them a second chance and they first quoted a price to replace belts and blades and then called back to say they reviewed our file and were unable to perform repairs because they claimed we "abused" the mower. So basically, they're a mower repair shop that doesn't want to repair mowers. I mean, am I supposed to bring them a mower that is working? Isn't repairing damage and replacing parts the whole point of a MOWER REPAIR SHOP???

After reviewing Angies list for someone to repair my lawnmower I contacted the Sandhills Power Equipment Repair. They came out to my house and picked up my mower at no cost and within a few days had it repaired. My mower has not worked for about two years because the last company that fixed it did a very bad job. Sandhills was very professional thoughout the process and evn-though they needed to make an adjustment they came back to my house picked up the lawnmower and brought it back the same day. I am very happy with the overall process and results.

While the cost of the pick-up and delivery was a bit expensive (30.00), it was worth it to me not to have to transport the lawnmower. They changed the oil and spark plug and checked the cables and sharpened the blades.

They picked up and returned my lawnmower within one hour. The changed oil, oil filter, cleaned the carburetor, replaced one spark plug and sharpened the blade.

I called Sandhills Power Equip and explain that I need service, they set a pick up time (I have a riding mower) which is usually the next day. They pick up the equipment and usually have it back the same day or the next day. Fast service. To me they are pricey I usually pay $199 for a start of year service for both my riding mower and my push mower which includes delivery and pickup, but they are worth it for their fast service and great attitude on the phone.

My Stihl edger wouldn't run for more than five seconds at a time. Pretty disappointing for an expensive tool that was less than one year old. Dropped it off and was told they would call when it was ready. Never received a call. After one week, I called and left a message. No return call. Then a few days later I stopped in to pick it up and was informed the carburetor was bad and they would have to order a replacement. I was told it would cost $58 and the repair would be the same cost as a tune-up, which is $28.
It took several weeks to get the carburetor as it was back-ordered. Not the fault of Sandhills Power Equipment Repair, so I can forgive that. By now, my edger had sat in their shop for about one month. When I finally picked it up, it was filthy dirty. It was so dirty I didn't recognize it. I asked the man if he was sure it was my edger. He was nice enough to take it back in the shop, clean it, and take $10 off my bill.
Speaking of my bill, I was prepared for $86. I was very shocked to find it was $120.35. They charged me $58 for the carburetor, $48 labor, and a tune-up. Definitely not what I was expecting. Fuming, I took my edger and went home.
I was very pleased to find it started up right away and worked like a charm. I was a little put off by the odor of raw gasoline, but figured it was nothing and it would go away. Wrong. I edged my lawn and set the edger down on the grass to cool before putting it away. After about an hour, I picked it up to find a puddle of black liquid had seeped into my lawn under the power unit. The grass died within a day. After I hung it up in the garage, the odor of raw gasoline was stifling for the next couple of days. Now there is no odor - there is also no fuel in the tank.
I called to complain and was told I could bring it back in and they would check it out. I don't think so. My edger didn't run before I took it in, but it didn't leak black liquid or gasoline either. I'll find a new repair shop - and so should you.
