The exam and surgery went wonderfully smooth. Those of us who have fur-babies understand that they are as precious to us as a human being would be. Dr. Furr also realizes that. He treated my Bob better than I could have asked for. Bob had to have surgery to remove 9 teeth. I dropped him off that morning and when I returned to pick him up that afternoon, he looked as though he had never had surgery. He was awake and alert. Dr. Furr himself came out, asked if I wanted to see (or keep) the teeth. I looked at them but did not keep them (haha). He explained thoroughly how to dispense the liquid antibiotics (we originally had pills but I could not get them in Bob, and Dr. Furr deducted the amount I paid for the pills from the price of the liquid) and let me know that if I felt Bob needed to be checked in a week or so, to bring him back at no charge. Bob did not need to be checked again. He adjusted wonderfully. I did call one day with a question and it was answered on the spot by one of the vet techs. I will be taking my fur-babies back to Dr. Furr without hesitation.

I see Dr Furr. The doctor is very personable. He takes a lot of time with the animal. He takes a lot of time to explain symptoms and to catch your illnesses. Everything was fine. I would use them in the future.

I told the receptionist that I needed my dog to be seen immediately but she said Dr. Furr was out so he couldn't come in until next week. I told her that she clearly didn't understand how important this dog is to me and she ended up saying she would talk to the intern about fitting me in after lunch then call me back. My attendant leaves at 3:00 so I couldn't have gone to a 2:00 appointment. Anyway, I waited and waited and finally called her back myself and she said she hadn't had time to talk to the intern yet. Dr. Fur adores my dog and he will drop anything for service dogs; this wouldn't have happened if Dr. Furr had been there. I take my dog in for a complete physical once a year and they do a complete exam with blood work. I understand that it is a clinic and that you need an appointment, but this was an emergency. The staff really needs to be reevaluated. The doctor is fabulous and my dog loves him.
