Mikki's able young associates Abby and Janel were our "tour guides," who patiently showed us about 10 pre-selected possibilities in an 8-hour period. From those, we narrowed our options to two beautiful properties. It was during our second viewings the following day that we met the incomparable Shannon Jones, who would serve as our primary liaison throughout the duration of the process...from offer and negotiations through inspection and closing. There are not enough positive adjectives in the dictionary to
describe this indefatigable "real estate Yoda" but here's an abridged top-of-mind list...sharp, knowledgeable, well-organized, meticulously detail-oriented, diligent, resourceful, efficient, conscientious and just fun to be around.
Having returned to Buffalo after an offer was made, we confidently relied on Shannon to handle everything for us some 850+ miles away. We asked questions 24/7 and it was almost as if she was "on call" for us; we typically received responses by
email within a half hour. We felt that Shannon went above and beyond in guiding us newbies through the process in order for us to make a comfortable, well-informed decision. She anticipated every detail and identified and resolved expeditiously any possible barriers to closing. A one-time resident of James Island, Shannon shared insider data on grocery stores, contractors, weekend getaway spots, where to buy furniture and antiques, flood zones, security, daily traffic patterns, dog parks, weather, housecleaners, best day/time to go to the beach, and we could go on and on. She was personable and funny and never, ever pushed or pressured us. Smooth sailing all the way!
We formed a true partnership. Think of a family member or a close friend who wants only the best for you...and that would be Shannon. Before we closed, I jokingly told Mikki to give Shannon a raise for all the hours she clocked during our time together.
She was the consummate professional and there was never a misstep or miscalculation as our "ambassador." And,
although the schedule was tight, the fact that we closed on time with no hassles was due to the relentless efforts of the Healthy-Realty team, and most notably Shannon.
I have been a public relations executive for 30 years, and I know excellent customer service when I see it. I also know that when such service is exemplary and extraordinary, it should be lauded and applauded. I would recommend Healthy-Realty in a heartbeat and if I'm ever in the market to buy or sell in the Charleston area again, I would put this agency on speed-dial.
And by the way, we LOVE our new home.
