BANK OF AMERICA

Someone used my phone number when they got a loan from BoA. The loan must be overdue, and BoA sells their delinquent accounts to collections agencies. The collections agencies make harassing phone calls telling me to "Call them immediately". When I explain the situation, the collections agency removed me from their list. Three months later BoA sells "my" account to another agency. I have been to BoA twice in person and many times on the phone. The initial personal contact (the asst. branch manager) said she couldn't find the account, even though I had the name and phone number. The branch manager said she would look into it. Three months later the calls returned. LTD Financial was very nice abut removing me from their files, but said that in three months the calls would probably start again. A phone call to BoA's 800 number explained that I couldn't change the phone number attached to the account, since I didn't know the account number. I went to the local branch. Neither of my previous contacts were available. The third person explained that this shouldn't happen, but she couldn't correct it right now. I asked for the local customer service manager. I emailed Doug Foreman explaining the situation, and received an out-of-office reply. I resent the email after he returned, and he replied that yes, he was back. I tried to call his assistant, but she is out of the office this week and suggested that I call Doug. I emailed today and he is out of the office. This is a great way to not address someone's problem, but still generate a lot of emails.
