Although he diagnosed problem over phone and ordered and showed up with necessary part, when he started the machine, he discovered another problem that would be prohibitively expensive to repair. I appreciated his advice to buy a new machine instead, as obviously that advice was against his own interests. Moreover, he could have fixed the problem I knew about, as I wouldn’t have known about the expensive issue if he hadn’t told me. He’s honest and competent—just what you want!

My GE refrigerator stopped cooling. I emailed Mr. Walters on Sunday afternoon & he called me in less than an hour. By the next afternoon, refrigerator was fixed. Very reasonable price. Dependable, honest and knowledgeable. Will definitely use again.

Mr. Walters provided outstanding service. When I called him to report the issue and before setting up the service appointment, he was very knowledgeable. He seemed to have a very good assessment of what my problem might be even before he made the service call. There was only a brief wait (a day or so) between my call to him and when he could get to my home and make the repair. He arrived at the time that was promised, and he accurately addressed the problem. He thoroughly explained the work that he was going to do in terms that I could understand. He was also very friendly, and my dog even liked him! She usually barks at every repair or maintenance worker who visits our home. From a conversation that we had, I gained the impression that he is honest and conducts his business with great integrity. I would definitely recommend him to others, and I'll absolutely call him again if I need appliances serviced!

Mr. Walters resolved the problem appropriately... in our initial call, he walked me through some diagnostic steps (which would have saved time if that had been enough to identify the problem... He came the same afternoon I called -- arriving within thirty minutes of the estimated time (which was just fine)... ... and once on site, fixed it without further complications. Excellent service -- will use as needed again!

Called Ray that morning and he was out late that afternoon. Quickly diagnosed that we had ice build up under the freezer drawer that prevented the bottom of the drawer from sealing completely allowing moisture to enter the freezer. The ice was caused by a leak from a defective water filter that had since been removed. Since the door could not close completely moisture was getting into the freezer and making the problem worse. Ray thawed the compartment completely and made sure the door seal was tight. And as a good professional Ray called back the next day to make sure the problem was not reoccurring. He is now in my contacts list.

I came home on Sunday night to find all of my food in the freezer was no longer frozen. Of all the many people I called, Ray was the only one who seemed concern, and came out the very next day. Everyone else couldn't come until a week or so. When I called him Sunday night he was even willing to give me some advice (on the phone) of things to try on my own to see if it would fix the issue. Even though I had to call LG to come out, I would advice anyone to use Ray Walter. He really cared and tried to help. Very Professional too.

It went great.  He arrived when he said and preformed the evaluation and work needed.  He was polite and communicated well.  He was good about telling me how to keep my washer and dryer in good repair through the proper use of soap and the loading of clothes. He communicated the cost up front and there were no surprises.

Called to have the my refrigerator's water/ice system repaired.  A part was replaced but problem was not fixed.  Another part had to be ordered.  Due to a misunderstanding, several weeks passed between the initial visit and the last visit on 4/15/2015.  The second part was installed and everything seems to be working.  I was not charged for the first part, which was not the problem.  Because it took so long to get the second part installed, Walter's did not charge me a labor or trip charge.  I was charged only for the second part.  I thought this was very fair.

Everything seems to be working fine now.  This was the third time I have called Walter's for repairs and would call them again.

After opening up the machine, he determined that the move damage would cost more to repair than a new machine.  He also noted that the repair done a year prior, by a different company, should never have been done since the repairs would not last because of the move damage.  He suggested that I should purchase a new machine and gave his personal opinion on which brands would be a good fit with my needs.

My LG HE dryer was making a thumping sound that I could not get rid of by cleaning the vents.  I was referred to Walter's Appliance by a Facebook friend and he came out the next day.  He said he didn't fell the noise was a problem but since he was there he blew out the vent, cleaned it from the outside and tightened all the hoses.  He also showed me how to clean the grates under my refriderator and the best soap to use in the dishwasher.  The service call was $60.  He said if he started to take the dryer apart he would have to charge me labor but because he didn't think there was a problem, he didn't need to do that.  He told me how long it should take to dry a load of towles and told me to do a load that night....and he called the next day to see how it was working.  I referred him to someone at work and he had him come out and fix his GE freezer.
