Overall, it went very well. I'm more than pleased with the work and the results! The cabinetry was built, sanded, and primed at his workshop then trucked to the house for installation. When Jerry came out to measure everything, he helped me work up a to-do list with regard to moving electrical outlets, some ductwork, etc, which my husband did prior to installation. We did miss one junction box and Jerry fixed that for us. Installation went smoothly for the most part. Little mishap with which bookshelf went on which side of the window - but he was able to fix it. You couldn't tell until the painter antiqued the mistake :) Jerry worked with the painter we hired by dropping off doors and drawer fronts for him to paint at his shop. We had the bookshelves/daybed painted, but chose to have wood tops to the lower cabinets and Jerry chose some beautiful South Carolina Black Walnut hardwood for us. The price was a little higher than I expected, but that was because I was adding custom details/more work and didn't realize just how much it was all adding up. For example, instead of raised panel doors, I wanted a decorative grill backed with glass - well that decorative grill was $200. Then because the crown molding on the bookshelves wouldn't match the rest of the room, we just had him buy a contractor's pack and install it throughout two rooms. It was still a bargain at $3,100 though and if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
