The entire process with Marty and his partner went extremely smooth. He promptly came out, climbed up on the portch roof to identify exactly why things were leaking, and provided a detailed quote of the fix. The price was marginally higher than the 2 other quotes I got, but I had zero hesitation in choosing him because of how thoroughly he looked at the issue and communicated the fix. It was a confidence thing on my part.
Him and his crew showed up on time and did excellent work to get the porch roof back into shape. I am very pleased with how it turned out and would hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

2012- Hall Bath renovation. Straightline did TOP quality work and we are VERY hard to please, let me assure you!  We were told by our pest company we had a bad leak and it was so bad that Straightline had to basically gut and totally renovate the entire hall bath and fix all the plumbing leaks and issues. They were extremely professional, always always showed up on time, and my property manager was so impressed with them that he uses them all the time now. We have been 100% satisfied by the quality on this work.
2014- Water heater being replaced. Another company gave us an estimate for DOUBLE what Straightline charged us. Straightline is HONEST, reliable, courteous, responsive, and takes time to explain everything in detail to us so that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. He is extremely professional. We trust him completely to allow him to come in while we are at work and work on these items. He had to disassemble the cabinet. He shut down the power, drained the waterheater (the old one) and disconnected the supply lines, and removed the old heater (and took for us to dispose of it).  He ran a new power supply from the waterheater to the panel box, hooked up the power, and wired in new 220 volt 30 amp breaker.  Installed a new water heater, and hooked up supplylines with new shut off valve, filled waterheater, checked for leaks, and hooked up T and P and ran through floor.
2015- We were having trouble at the rental house with circuit breakers going off and power going off. Marty came right away when we called and he very carefully and meticulously isolated each circuit with each appliance--a very time consuming task---and with 100% professionalism and attention to detail. We know that we are in good hands when we call Straightline!  He was able to discern that he would need to run its own new electrical line from the microwave and from the washing machine. So he scheduled with us to come out at our convenience and again, did the work plus he re-vented the dryer vents for us which had not been installed correctly in the beginning by the former builders or owners.  It is an older home and Marty has helped us to make this home SAFE and correct on all the circuits, GFI's, etc..he goes the extra mile and gets the job done well and in a quality manner, no nonsense. He is courteous and keeps his word on estimates. He cleans up after the jobs very well.

We have always been happy with Straightline's work.  Excellent quality at fair price.  Marty is honest and trustworthy and a pleasure to work with.  He is very knowledgeable and experienced.  He also takes the time to explain everything that he is doing and answer all questions.  Highly, highly recommended.  

Work was begun on time and moved right along with the tub demolition which was no small task in very tight quarters. The original octagonal tile floor was in good enough shape, although cracked, to install the new tiles on top, saving yet more demolition but everything else had to go. The bathroom had never had an outlet so they were able to add that along with the new electrical fixture.
The only slight wrinkle was the fact that somehow a hickory nut fell into the tub drain and was very difficult to remove. We still have no idea how it got there but if that is the only issue in an old house remodel you're in really good shape!
The end product was very much what I had hoped for; meticulous tile work on shower and floor, rimless shower doors, wainscoting on the walls....reminded me of a posh European hotel. Well, a small one anyway.

Mr. Chipolla was great from beginning to end. He came, saw project, said he could bid the project, or do it by the hour and gave me his cost and helper's cost by hour. He told me which would way would cost less and why. He told me he could get here in a few days and did. When he came I had a lot of construction dust all over, and when he was done the site was cleaner than when he found it. He did so well, that I was racking my brain to remember all the other little projects I wanted done; and when I have a list of them together I will definitely call him. It is good to find someone you can trust, who does a good job, and does what they say they will do, when they say they will do it!

Marty was fantastic. First off I was in complete panic mode when 2 of my cabinet drawers were horribly damaged. The faces were broken off, wood split. the backing in pieces, etc. I tried replacing them at Home Depot but when the drawers arrived they would not fit in the cabinet. I was deperate and upset not only worried about how I was going to fix the problem but can it be fixed??? I went onto Angies list knowing I was on a deadline and had to remedy the situation soon. It was after 9:00 pm on a Thursday evening thinking I would be leaving voice messages for businesses to call me back the following day. Marty with Straightline answered that night and thoroughly went over everything on the phone. He was very friendly, helpful and professional. He had me take photos of the damage and email them to him. He called me back minutes later after he reviewed the pictures. We scheduled an appointment for the following week. When Marty arrived he wasted no time to get to work. My drawers look like they had never been busted and are even better than before. I loved the way he explained everything to me prior to getting started as well as after. He pays close attention to detail and makes sure you are satisfied with the work before presenting the bill. I am very happy with the services I received from Straightline and would not hesitate to use them again.

We were impressed with Marty's professional approach from the moment he started on the estimate. He arrived when he said he would, studied the problems, and then took photos and measurements. I don't recall other remodellers taking such a systematic and careful aproach. When it came time to do the work, he came when we expected him. He made friends with the dog, so we were able to leave him with a key and after the first morning, were able to follow our usual schedule. The work he did was excellent, and he always cleaned up afterwards. (Important because we have a couple of cats and a dog, and have found dusty little footprints around the house after work done by others!)

Everything was very smooth and went according to plan. Marty had 2 helpers that were also wonderful, all 3 men were trusted in my home when I was traveling. They even played with my dogs and took them in the yard if they needed to go outside. That was the biggest peace of mind I had throughout the project. My house was built in 1956, so nothing went as easily as it would in a newer home, but Marty and his helpers always remained positive and patient as they worked through challenges. The projects were completed perfectly, and exactly how I pictured the finished product. I would recommend Straightline remodeling to any friends or family interested in home remodeling.

Think I did this a little backward, but I was very impressed with the professional way Marty handled himself. He was always on time and worked the entire time he was here. I never once had to look for him or wonder what he was doing. He gave us a time frame and he stuck by it. He was a joy to work with and once again I can't sing his praises enough!! I would and will hire him again in a heartbeat!!!

From the time we placed a call to him, he seemed to understand what was needed, came out in a few days and inspected the problems. He sent the quotation very quickly because my real estate agent needed it and then came out a few days later with all the material needed and did the work completely that morning. He was very clean and removed all debris.

Over all it went wonderful. I would hire them again if I ever need anything done in the house again.

He built a closet in the corner of our bedroom; anything you want him to do, he can do it. Everything has gone really well except for a plumbing thing that wasn't his fault. Whether it is his fault or not, he knows how to fix the problem. In our bedrooms we didn't have any lighting so he ran the electrical up to the ceiling so we could have ceiling fans. He installed drawers where we had a trash compactor and put in a lazy susan. He is a really good worker, he works until he is finished, and he doesn't have an issue for anything. You don't have to call someone new for every project, you can just call him and he can do it all. The closet he build is amazing and it looks like it was built with the house. We always call him and we don't use anyone else.

All jobs were performed to my satisfaction with a guarantee of quality work. Upon request, Straightline returned to my home quickly to check on work performed. All prices were reasonable.

The genisis of the remodeling project was a leaking shower pan. The original plumber did not do that type of work and referred us to Marty Cipolla and Straightline Remodeling. During the initial discussion with Marty I determined that it would be the ideal time to remodel the entire shower. Marty provided me with several options and estimates. We settled on one course of action and Marty went to work. The project included carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical and painting. The shower was enlarged which meant removing one wall, creating a decorative overhang, rerouting the water feed lines, replacing light fixtures and repositioning the shower threshold. All of this work was done to my complete satisfaction.

Important things to note:

- He does not asked to be paid up front. He gives you the bill when the job is done and you're satisfied.
