SELF-LOCK MINI STORAGE

Good to Baaa aad! Originally obtaining a unit involved being assisted by the sweetest little ladies at the neighboring antique store. You could view the unit, secure it with a rental contract, make your monthly payments ( credit card, cash) AND receive a receipt right then. Not so anymore, since the son (a relative) took over. 1) Unit holders are now REQUIRED to MAIL in payments by check ONLY, not even money orders; 2) Unit holders basically have to pay to pay them- in this day & age, IDK when I've had to use a check for anything!! Nowadays banks charge, what. about a dollar per check, With ppl decreasing their use of postal services, the price of stamps have gone up, over $.50!; Plus envelopes. Again, unless it's for a card, I don't need them! That may not sound like a lot, but over time...its ridiculous 3) Good luck getting through to the listed number. Night or day; weekday/weekend (I get) NO answer!! I realize he has another job, but it's crazy that existing customers have to "suffer" poor/non-existing customer service. I make the time to come by on person or call to make my payments on time, I don't see why he can't be available to personally process my timely payment. 4) I received an "offer" to give this same man/ppl my credit card information to process by auto debit!! The contract/permission form was already pre-populated with someone else's name! Like I'd trust these people with information that personal & sensitive. It's like mailing money through a blackhole to a complete stranger. Really!? IDEK what he looks like. If he can't process payments on the first, what assurance do I have that my payment will be processed timely if I mail it to an office that is always vacant!! 5) Not only can you NOT reach a live person by phone, the physical address of the storage units, which has a physical office, apparently IS NOT the location where he/they operate! The storage units are JUST storage units. No air conditioning, no gate codes, or as indicated already, no live person in the office to assist unit holders. The roads throughout the property are unpaved & covered with rocks. It's a basic unit, nothing fancy. But, the Service , which once was Great is now quite, quite poor!
