Preppy Puppies

Excellent ~ ALWAYS!

Had been going to Preppy Puppies for 2-3 years.  Everything was great, except for one thing -- making an appointment.  They have an answering machine for all calls, and they promise to respond the evening of the call or the first business day, if you call on a holiday or over the weekend.   It was always hit or miss whether I got a call back or not.  Really frustrating.  There's got to be a better system for making appointments.  I gave up and went to a different haircutter.

I have been using Preppy for many years. They even take care of my dog when I am on vacation. They love all animals and you can count on them taking good care and doing a good job. She trims my dog better than anyone.
In reading reviews, I beleive their staff is always in the back with the dogs so they can't have someone just answer the phone, this would be cost prohibitive. I have never had an issue with them getting back to me, it usually is at the end of the day. I would expect to leave your pet there all day until they call as it is hard to know when exactly a dog will be ready.

They are very good with my dog. They seem to love him as much as I do.

I used this groomer for a few years and was very happy with the end product and they were very friendly and kind to my dog but I won't be going back. Like another reviewer mentioned, I never reached an actual person and always received an answering machine. They took forever, sometimes never, to return my call. And the reason I gave a C for punctuality was they never knew when they'd be done with her so I could pick her up. Sometimes it was a few hours later, sometimes 4 hours, sometimes an entire day! I have never had that problem before with other groomers.

They were referred to me by my vet. The services were excellent but it is VERY difficult to actually book an appointment. - either the front person doesn't do the booking or you leave a number and wait for a return call. I even drove to the location to try to book but no one could actually do the booking.

I made a second attempt to book after the first visit, during the holidays, again I had to wait for a return call - by the time I got a call back neither my schedule or theirs would match up.

The store is in a bit of a hide-away location. Very clean and spacious. It has a bit of an odd set-up - with the reception desk and not much else in the front area - few and quot;do-dadsand quot; for sale. - pet supplies or materials. It's a bit barren but very neat.

I really like the way they treat the dog. When my dog comes home she looks very cute. I will grade them high on all the categories.
