I picked up my little 6 pound Shih Tzu after her grooming appt. In the car, she curled up on the seat vs. being happy to see me. I could tell something was wrong. When we got home, she couldn't walk. From her waist down, she seem paralyzed. Her head was hard cocked to the left. Her body seem bent in half sideways to the left. Her left ear was bent weird upward compared to her right. Her tail, instead of curling up on her back was curling horizontally to the left side. Very unnatural looking. I immediately took her to the emergency hospital. $1000 later, they explained she was clearly damaged. It would cost $2500 to do an MRI to confirm she may have been dropped. I couldn't afford it. They said she could have been dropped, they could have also gone in her ears and caused damage to her balance. WIthout the tests they couldn't be sure. They gave me meds and said to give her some time to see how she does. Even with the MRI there would be little they could do. Now a week later, she can walk, but her entire body tilts to the left. Her ear is still cocked and her personality has changed. SHe has no patience and she tries to attack you if you touch her hips. She doesn't want to be touched at all. So, I keep hoping she will continue to improve. I spoke with a regional manager at PetSmart who said to send the vet report. I never heard back from them. Now I will have to sue them. Gees. I then went online and research PetSmart problems and there are many people with similar stories. Just Google it and you'll see. THis sweet little girl has never had a sick day in her life. I bred her and was there when she was born. Her mother was a Champion Shih Tzu.

We have a dog and a cat. We pay $45 a month or something. I use their veterinary service because their hours are good. They're open on Sundays and Saturdays. I like them. I've read some bad reviews about them but I've had nothing but good reviews with them. I think they're a little cheaper than most of the local vets, not like way cheaper but about $5 cheaper. Plus if you go in there you can spread out your health plan. They seem to be very professional.

Training at the Harbison Pet Smart was fair. There was not enough hands on training; trainer spent too much time talking about her dog and what all he will do. Also, too much time was spent trying to difuse situations with different dog personalities. Their extra energy should have been worked off by getting up and trying different training methods instead of sitting in a circle talking about what to do. I would not recommend going to the Harbison Pet Smart for training. I have heard that the Lexington location is much better but I don't know this personally.

They sell high quality doog fod brands at a reasonable price.

The program focuses on relationship building and uses a reward based system set up in such a way that the puppy cannot fail. By guaranteeing success, it reinforces what you are teaching, and keeps the puppy motivated to keep learning and listening. They never recommend punishment and the focus is on the dog listening from respect, never fear. The course starts with basics, including sit, stay, walking, etc. and is really great for first time dog owners to make sure they don't start with bad habits. The classes also allow for socialization, and by taking place in the store, allow for the puppy to have to learn while also having distractions around, which seems more realistic to real life situations. My puppy actually enjoyed the classes so much, that I continued on for 2 more programs. All levels were broken down into weekly topics and build upon each other, with tips for pet parents to practice at home and ways to continue to teach in various situations. Through out the classes and after, the trainers were always ready to help with answering questions about anything puppy. They were always professional, knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do. I have recommended this to many other pet parents. In the future, if I adopted another puppy I would do this again, as the experience is so great.

My wife is the one who goes there, but I know she has been very happy with them, or she wouldn't keep going back. They take really good care of the animals.

They back up all their services. The people that do the work my dog loves them. If the people mess up the manager will make it good.

Have used them multiple times for two dogs; german shepherd and lab mix. They always come home happy and clean. Always fit us in. Have lots of groomers. Open earlier than the store most days also.

They are close and convenient.

I go every couple of months for the grooming. The pet shop is terrific. The vet is great and her prices are real reasonable. I've never had a problem with their responsiveness or punctuality. We use her all the time.

I like there price. I like the cleanliness of their office. My dog had a bad case of flees in his ears. They called and told us we needed to have his ears trimmed. When I find something that is good and works, I stay with them. I am satisfied with them and my wife is satisfied with the way my dog looks. I have a Lhasa. They are hard to cut as they are very hairy. They cut my dog right. We like to put a lion’s tail on him and they do a good job of getting that done right. He also smells good.
