Contacted Drew about installing shades in the kitchen.  Brought over books the next day to select and also measured the windows.  Ordered.  The blinds arrived 3 weeks later.  Drew installed the blinds.  They are perfect.  Drew is very professional and easy to deal with.  We used them to install our hardwood floors 3 years ago and were very pleased with them then.  The installers were friendly and courteous, and we trusted them in our house.

I ordered blinds for my home in sometime April 13 as of today, Drew from
House Beautiful still did not finish the job. I had to continuously
call and call. it had taken at least 3 months for him to finish all but 2 windows, claimed he didn't have
much help. I had read a prior review on House Beautiful that was negative however, I was out the country and my brother went ahead with them anyway. This was the worst experience I've ever received from a business. I don't even know how they got on "Angies list"!!!

It went well. They performed the repair as requested and did it in a timely manner. I have no complaints.

Awesome! The folks at House Beautiful are great to work with.  They were so helpful, even let me take samples home with no deposit--a first for me. Look forward to working with them again.
I called HB and told them I found them on Angie's LIst and as they were nearby could they come and give an estimate.  They came the next day.  They gave me a firm estimate and never went over--never!  They helped me choose the type of Bamboo that would be best and I decided on a fairly new product. HB delivered the wood and said as they had never worked with it before they wanted to let it 'get aquainted' with my house.  After 3 days 2 installers came and worked so fast!  It took them less than 6 hours to lay the area.  The tight spots took a bit longer due to cuts.  The lead installer was so impressed with the product that he wants to put it in his house.  When I told HB how happy I was they told me that when I am ready to put in down in my living room, they would check with other customers and possibly get a whole pallet. 
Since I really liked how things went with the floor I had them do the backsplash.  There was a miscommunication about the tile and it was installed wrong.  However, to House Beautiful's credit, they uninstalled the tile, reinstalled it and even installed the 10 stome tiles I had purchased elsewhere as no additional cost. 
The owners can and inspected the finished work and made sure I was happy before taking final payment.  Yep, I can hardly wait to work with them again.

The only thing that I liked about them was the price that we had agreed upon. Outside of that as far as negatives is that, they had installed the vinyl flooring in my kitchen, foyer, one of my bathrooms and the lounge room area, and to install in the floor of the bathroom they had to remove the toilet and then they took too long to install it back as they said that they would send somebody to do it after the weekend which was not satisfactory. I couldn't have been without using the toilet for the whole weekend so I had to warn them that if they didn't install the toilet right back immediately, I would have to put a stop on their check. They said that they would glue the vinyl down and I wasn't impressed with that and they will charge me for the glue. I can't call them as trustworthy. Their quality of work wasn't that great. I wouldn't use them in the future.

From the first visit to their showroom, to the completed job, they were great.  Everyone was friendly and helpful.  The guys who did the installation were very professional and respectful, and they got in and got the job done quickly.  Their work was excellent. I will definitely use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone. 

They were fantastic. I liked everything that they did. I would use them in the future.

We were extremely pleased. They started working on the floor and found that part of the floor was rotten. They replaced it. We were just pleased with everything that they did. The experience was most pleasant and enjoyable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had been looking everywhere for an economical option for window treatments for our new house in Elgin. Since we decided on a house that had ALOT of windows, we knew it wouldn't be cheap. Drew was AWESOME to work with!! The price listed above was for 18 windows (many of the doubles), and includes installation. We decided to go with custom fit faux wood blinds with a 'molded' valance. they look GREAT!! and work like a dream!! even the double windows are easy to pull up and down. but what made working with Drew so great is that he is a man of his word! The blinds came in when he said they would, were installed right away, and have worked great! Buying a new home is stressful enough it was so nice to know that there was someone out there working to make our life just a little bit easier...
