GRAHAM HOME REPAIR

This contractor replaced a roof for us in 2003.  He failed to replace the felt paper, among other things, and the roof leaked.  Efforts to get him to deal with this failed.  So, we took him to Magistrate’s Court and got a judgment for over $7,500.00 in early 2005 (check the public index for Richland County).  We had to pay another roofing contractor about $4,000.00 to replace the entire roof.   In preparing for our court hearing, we discovered that this contractor wasn’t either licensed or bonded as he claimed.  Since he had no assets of any value, we haven’t collected a dime of the judgment. But, we keep an eye on his activity, as the judgment has five more years to run before expiring.  In that process, we have discovered he claims an office location at 2829 Linbrook Drive in Columbia, SC.  A drive down that road, as well as county tax records shows that no such address exists.  The first address on Linbrook  Drive is 3507.  We believe this contractor to be a fraud.  Even though we contacted the Labor and Licensing Board about the misrepresentation, they did nothing.   Since we just joined Angie’s List recently, we are just now reporting this.
