Excellent service, start to finish.
This was a complicated project as we have a unique home constructed almost entirely of reinforced concrete, steel, and glass. Home is on National Registry. We have a flat roof. Home was constructed over 75 years ago. Roof leak posed a very difficult problem. Drains are made of 3" galvanized steel. They course through the roof over bathrooms through concrete walls and descend two floors and exit underground. Conventional repair would have required tearing out much of our bathroom (1930's period tile); digging into interior walls and underground excavation.
Chris Bergeron with Drain Pro/Bergeron Plumbing in Lexington, SC is a master installer of pipe lining. It is a high tech process requiring specialized equipment, materials, and training. Chris and his brother Jeremy were professional, punctual, and extremely qualified. They gave me an estimate, and stuck with it. It was not cheap, but a conventional repair would have been even more expensive, and destructive to the integrity of our home.
They inspected all the pipes for leaks/damage/ corrosion. They cleaned all the roof drains form the roof all the way to underground drywell/sewer. They carelfully measured the length of liner needed. It had to be specially ordered, fabricated, and shipped from Florida. It arrived two days later. The liner is saturated with a resin/epoxy like material and literally shot through the pipe with a special pressure drum. Then an inflator is shot through, inflated and cured for several hours. The inflator/expander is removed and roof drain cap replaced. Chris also placed access points outside for future easy cleaning.
They also cleaned and repaired a French drain in our backyard which was occluded with roots and crushed pipe.
Chris and his brother were a delight to deal with. They were honest, hard-working, and very skilled. They were very thorough in their work, clean-up, and even made a video for us to view.
