They were awesome. They contact me everyday. If there will be a catch, they sent me pictures of the catch. They were unbelievable. I've already signed them up to use them again.

DJ is the BEST!
Critter Care provided smart, timely care with high-touch service. DJ was friendly, professtional and knowledgeable. She left happy detailed notes at each visit and provided great peace of mind while I vacationed.
They watched over 3 of my beloved pugs and I was confident if thier capabilities because of a referral from a friend who has used them for 15 years.

Our sitter, Nora, was fantastic. After meeting her, we had no qualms whatsoever about giving her access to our home. She clearly loves animals. She also brought in boxes that were delivered. My communication with DJ was also excellent. She responded very promptly and was very professional.  We certainly use this service again. A delight to work with.

DJ was great! Very professional, experienced, and thorough. It was very clear that she enjoys animals and knows how to handle nervous or shy pets. She first came over to meet us and our pets (free consultation) at a time that was most convenient for us (8:30am on a Sat). She took copious notes to learn our routine and the habits, personalities, and needs of the family. She sent an email the week before our vacation to confirm that she would be coming (which I appreciated as I always used to worry that the sitter wouldn't show). She sent an email during her first visit to let us know she was there and that all was ok. We came home to a note about each visit that included what was done, how the pets were doing and what they did, etc. She even brought in the mail. We have already reserved her services for additional vacations!

They text-ed me daily reports on his eating, physical health and activity.

DJs Critter Care were a real Godsend.  My husband, who was at home with our dog since we adopted her, passed away.  Within a short time I had to return to work.  I didn't want my dog to be at home all day without any human contact since our household routine had been through so many changes.  I saw the reviews on Angie's List and called them.  I got great response and Pam was assigned to help with walks.  She is wonderful with Ginger and so dependable.  I always get updates about Ginger and her walks--a big help especially if there are diet or health issues to be addressed.  When Pam went on vacation, she arranged for a substitute to include an "introduction walk" with Nora and a walkthrough of the routine.  I had to do nothing. 
When I first signed up for the service, I thought that I would get a group of teenagers on a revolving basis coming for Ginger.  Not that they can't do a good job, but I expected constantly changing schedules and people.  NOT SO at all.  These are mature ladies who love animals.  They are reliable and can accomodate you if some additional need arises.  I have so pleased with the help I have received.  I would recommend this company without hesitation.

The person who did the visits, came over one time before our trip, met us and the cats, and discussed what was needed.  She agreed to feed and water the cats, empty the litter boxes, and keep an eye on both to make sure one did not eat all the other's food.  She left us a note each day.  I am pleased with the condition of the house and the cats, and the notes she left.  I plan on using them again.

There was no one part of the experience that I wish would have gone differently.
Upon first phone contact, we were told someone would call us betweeen 10 AM and noon the next day  to schedule a time to come by.
Tammie called at exactly 10 AM.
She said she would stop by at noon.
When our doorbell rang, the clock was just changing over to 12:00.  Right on time.
We introduced Tammie to the cats and she immediately loved all over our 2 social butterflies.  Not a moment of hesitation from either of them.  She was just part of the family.
The house tour and daily chore list was next.  Tammie took notes and asked good  questions to make sure she understood how we did things in OUR home and how we wanted them done when we were away.  When my husband and I confused things by talking over each other, Tammie made sure she had the facts straight and knew exactly what she needed to do.
She didn't even blink when we told her about our tempermental house alarm and explained how to tame that beast.  She simply took it all in stride.
We came home to a clean home, happy cats that had obviously been well-loved while we were gone - as they didn't cop the "You left me, therefore I must punish you" attitude.  And we found care notes from each day of Tammie's visits with our cats.  Such a sweet, thoughtful touch!
There is not one change I would make in this experience - except maybe I would have called DJ's Critter Care first and not wasted time interviewing anyone else.

DJ had watched my cats earlier in the summer and was awesome so when I found out that I had to travel for work for a week in November, I didn't hesitate to call her again. I had just adopted a new kitten and my other cat had just had stomach surgery so they both needed extra TLC which they no doubt received. She even took my kitten to the vet when she started sneezing and then came over twice a day to give both cats their meds. I was able to come back to two very healthy cats and was able to travel without having to worry about them. My cats are my "babies" and I would never let anyone else watch them except DJ! I cant say enough good things about my experience!

We were gone for 8 days and DJ and Leslie were both wonderful. I have to give them 5 for everything. They were totally awesome. They love the pets. They were great with them. They did what they were suppose to do plus more.

I reviewed several pet sitting services on Angie's List, and called DJ's partly because they did not charge for the initial visit.  After I called DJ's and was told who was available for my time and area,  that sitter came that same afternoon to meet me and the cats.  I had a great time talking to her, she was extremely likable, and she liked my cats!
I gave her my house key, showed her around, and left for my trip with no worries.  I filled out DJ's questionnaire; if I had requested a phone update, I am sure I would have gotten it.  I was fine without that.
Upon my return, I found complete notes, with all the animal names (I have 5 cats) and times recorded.  The cats were fine, the house was fine.  And yes, I requested mail and paper brought in, which they were. 
It was as if I had been home the whole time.

I love DJ's and will use them again in the future.
