Description of Complaint: Crescent Construction, represented by Mr. Kevin Varnadore, and I signed a roofing ($19353.42) and a aluminum siding ($1474.88) contract on Jun 10, 2022. In addition to a quality roof replacement, I was promised documentation of a lifetime Owens Corning warranty on the roof, filing of necessary paperwork with USAA insurance so I could receive back my recoverable depreciation. I was also promised aluminum siding and gutter repair. The roof replacement took place on Aug 2-3. Roofing payment was made that date. At the time of payment gutter damage was identified to Mr. Varnadore’s Father, who was representing the company that day. I was assured this would be corrected during the aluminum repair. In middle August L.J. from brother gutters,803-369-7379, came out to inspect and stated he was representing Mr. Varnadore. Since this I have heard nothing. I have called and emailed Mr. Varnadore numerous times. Finally on Oct 31 I contact Crescent’s office manager Michelle Brazell and she stated she would get the information to Mr. Varnadore. I contacted her again on Nov 17 and have yet to hear anything further. I have the emails and contracts if needed. Desired Settlement: $500 reimbursement for my damaged front gutter-I will contract with someone else to repair Documentation of the lifetime Owens Corning warranty on the roof Filing of necessary paperwork with USAA insurance so I can receive my recoverable depreciation

I used Crescent Construction back in March 21019 to replace my whole roof, add gutters, and gutter guards onto my house. Darrell was my rep at the time whom I believe is no longer with the company. About 6 months after having everything installed the gutter guards started popping off with a little wind one by one. I placed a call to Crescent Construction and Mitch came out to fix it. A day later a few more gutter guards came popping off and were laying on my ground. I put in another phone call to Crescent Construction to ask them to come fix it being that it has been less than a year. It took 10-15 more phone calls to finally get Mitch to come out again to fix these gutter guards that were laying around on the ground. When Mitch came out he told me that I had purchased cheap gutter guards. When I bought them their rep told me they were good. He also told me a couple of them had holes in them from squirrels. He said they were cheap and flimsy, but he'll put them back up. Right after he left the gutter guards started coming off again one by one. I have about 6 or 7 gutter guards down right now. I have been calling for 2 weeks trying to get ahold of the owner. I called again today and Mitch who isn't the owner got on the phone. He said that he spoke with the owner and they won't do anything for me. The most they would do is sell me better guards at cost. He said that I was sold cheap gutter guards. This company will not stand by what they sell and the owner won't get on the phone to service his customers.

Prompt, terrific service. We had a leak from our roof during a heavy rainstorm. Mac Sawyer came out when he said he would, quickly assessed the situation and provided an immediate fix for our problem. Thanks so much!

The damage to our house was due to the hailstorm that we had in Columbia. Idk if Crescent was super busy due to that or if they are always slow, but it took a long time to have all our repairs done. Sometimes it took a few phone calls to remind them to send the next crew over.

The work was done professionally and the quality of the work was good though.

Initial contract bid in March, 2015.  Work did not begin until May, 2015.  Work started off great, demo fast, floor
replacement and radiant heat good.  Problems started with tile work. Bottom line, initial job was just shoddy.  Complained several times, requested project. manager come to look at problem.  Finally, got agreement that tile job was shoddy.  Got a different crew to come tear out the back of the tile shower and replace.  Final shower job is fine, much better than the start; floor tile grouting not great.  They did make an effort to correct the problem, but it took way too long (May ? August) for what was a relatively simple job.  Had the feeling they were over-extended; not sufficient oversight over initial job. Final product a big improvement but not exactly right; got tired of not having it done and signed off. Don?t think subs really knew how to lay tile. Would not recommend for tile jobs; may be great on other renovations.

We have a number of odd angles and gables, and this slowed down progress a little.  The crew worked long hours and were extremely good about cleaning up after themselves.  They checked each day for loose nails.  They were polite & respectful.
The worst part (& it wasn't too bad) of the experience was trying to keep in touch once the project was completed (about minor adjustments).  This was right after the hailstorm, and the company was very busy, so sometimes calls took a few days to be returned and acted on.

On the day of the repair, they arrived with several workers and completed the work quickly. Later that day, the person who was my contact to have the work done came by to inspect the work. They had replaced the wood and painted it to match the porch and it looked great. My only complaint is the amount of time between the contract date and when the work was completed. However, it was worth the wait to have it done right.

Overall, it went well, however a few issues that were subsequently resolved. I needed a new roof as a result of a severe hail storm. The company agreed to work with my insurance company and accepted the insurance payout. However, there was a bit of a wait. The contract was written on 8/1/14, but the work was not done until 11/14/15, which they explained was due to a high volume of new roofs that had to be replaced in the area due to the hail storm. They completed the work in a couple of days and cleaned up very well.  However, during the process, something was dropped and I later noticed a hole in my living room ceiling.  I called and they repaired this promptly.  Additionally, when I checked the attic I noticed some wood in the roof that was to have been replaced that was overlooked. Also, there was a rainstorm a short time after the roof was installed and there was a leak that stained my
dining room ceiling.  I again called and they promptly repaired the wood in the attic and also attempted to repair the stain in my living room which was not too successful as the color did not match. I did, however locate some paint that matched and repainted the area myself. The sales associate I worked with was wonderful. He was both professional and friendly and worked diligently to make sure everything worked out.  The new architectural shingles look great!!

They did a fine job. It took them a long time because of the sheer volume. We had 100,000 people with homes with crushed roof. So, it just took a while. The insurance paid all of it. The project was completed very fast. The entire roof was done in a day.

I had a good experience with them. I am not sure about the pricing because I didn’t get a whole lot of other quotes. It has only been a few months, so time will tell.

They did a great job. Came on time, were courteous and professional. The clean up was great, you would not have known they were here a few hours earlier.
They do have to come back and replace some siding and a few minor things.
I would highly recommend them.

Nearly perfect, from beginning to end. Bobby visited with us and spent a lot of time going over options, and presented all aspects of the requirements and operation. We knew what was going to be done in great detail. A week before the work began, we were called and warned of the start date and time. They arrived early in the morning with a huge crew---there were 14 people working on this roof at the same time. They removed all of the old roof, replaced waterproof paper, put on the new shingles, and added drip edge all in one day, an amazing performance as this is a large roof. They took very good care to not damage shrubbery and screens, and removed all trash and nails. Very professional, very good job.

They did a great job. Tim is an excellent project manager. They told us we were on the waiting list so it would take a while to get to us. When the project was scheduled, he gave us a weeks notice and they were prompt to the schedule. They did a great job cleaning up after the job was done as well.

Everything went better than expected based on previous experiences we have had with contractors and construction crews. We now have beautiful architectural singles, proper venting that we did not have before, and flashing around the chimney of the fireplace. All rotted wood was replaced primed and painted. Timothy was at our beck and call whenever we needed him and made sure things were done correctly and as specified in our contract.
I GIVE MY HIGHEST RECCOMENDATION TO USE CRESENT CONSTRUCTION FOR ROOFING AND ALL OTHER CONSTRUCTION NEEDS. -- AND MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR TIMOTHY GRAVES!!!! We are now great friends and he will be doing some renovations in one of bathrooms, soon.
EXCELLENT A++ Job!!!!!

Crescent Construction, Kevin Varnadore VP was my contact. He was able to match the shingles and the work is amazing. You can't even tell the damaged area from the unaffected areas. His crew was thorough, quick and CLEANED up after themselves. When rain interrupted the work, instead of leaving, the crew STAYED and finished the job when the weather cleared.

I called Crescent because I saw their crews working in my neighborhood replacing several roofs. My roof is only 5 years old but started leaking with recent heavy rains/storms. I called Brian Lewis after I got his name from a neighbor. After a couple of trys, he got a steep roof expert up on my roof to inspect for storm damage. He found the roof in good condition except for a few raised nails. While he was up on the roof, he went ahead and nailed as needed and sealed the effected tabs. They did this as a courtesy and did not charge me anything. I will certainly call them if I need any and quot;realand quot; work done and will recommend them to others.
