Complete Car Care

I'm driving again. I'm very pleased with the service received. The personnel took time to explain the work needed.Bill is pleasant and knowledgeable and friendly.

I have taken my cars (and referred my friends) to Complete Car Care for almost 20 years. Why? Because they are thoroughly professional, trained automobile mechanics, and they are always ready and willing to help.  Their prices are in line with the high quality of their work, and I appreciate the time they take to explain what has been done, or what *should* be done next.  
In the last 20 years, Complete Car Care has handled routine maintenance, flat tires, roadside rescue  (2 simultaneous flat tires due to debris on the road), electrical systems, funny smells in the AC, and more. 
It feels good to know when I drive out of Complete Car Care, my car is road-ready in every respect.

We live in another state and my son is a student at USC. Someone backed into his car and we had minor damage. We looked up Complete Car Care on Angie's List and had the car towed there. Complete Car Care looked at the car and then realized that it needed more body work and we had it towed somewhere else. They charged a very reasonable fee to look at the car and we were really grateful for their integrity.
More than anything, every person we talked to was very polite and they were extremely helpful. They made us feel as if they were taking care of their own child's car instead of a complete stranger. They worked with us wonderfully while we waited for the insurance adjuster to locate a body shop. My son has 2 more years at USC (hopefully!!)--from now on everything from oil change to bigger issues we will return to Complete Car Care

Every time I have used this shop, whether for regular maintenance or problems, they have been responsive, polite, and very straightforward about what needs to be done. I have found their charges very reasonable compared to other repair shops. Especially if you work downtown or on USC campus, they are close and convenient.

My daughter is in college at USC and not close to home so it's good to
have a dependable mechanic to go to. Her car was experiencing battery
issues and after I made a call to Complete Car Car to see if they could
evaluate the issue in 15 minutes they agreed, and quickly evaluated the
issued and replaced the battery terminal. I know where to go if there
are any other car issues!

I called for a quote and they were very responsive and helpful. When we dropped the car off the very next day, the person who greeted me called me by name. This was really good customer service, inspired trust and confidence. The service was completed within the time they said it would be and when I paid it was the same price they had told me in the quote. I wrote a check and they put it through the very next day, no waiting, which is extremely helpful to keeping finances straight.

On time, they are honest and trustworthy as well.

My car broke down not far from my office and they were able to send a tow truck even though it was close to closing time. I did have to wait about an hour, but considering the distance that wasn't bad. Once loaded he was able to drop be off at my apt before heading back to the shop. Really above and beyond there. The problem was worn out coolent hoses that was spraying coolent into the alternator. I had my car back in less than 24hrs.

Excellent job. Clutch had been replaced earlier with different parts and they sorted it out for me. Good fair price.

Initially I was happy with their service but the mechanic that serviced my car suggested an expensive that has not proven to be needed. I did use them before this and was happy but was not pleased with this particular visit.

The fuel pump on my 1997 S-10 failed, and I knew what the problem was, so I had the truck towed to Complete care (based on angie's list reviews) before getting any type of quote. They were very nice and fast but their prices were outrageous. I was quoted $750 to replace the fuel pump. According to Complete, that included $475 for the part and $275 for the labor. The part is available at advance auto parts for less than $200 and online for $70. Thankfully they allowed me to provide the part myself. They expressed no problem with that. I purchased it online and had it mailed priority. The $275 for labor was still perhaps 20% more than I was quoted elsewhere, but rather than have it towed again, I hired them for the work. They had the truck fixed and ready to pick up within 24hrs of when I dropped off the part. Unfortunately, the quote of $275 for installation became a bill of $360 when I picked it up. Again, thankfully, all I had to do was ask for specifics on what the extra $85 was for, and the owner/manager took the charge off. He tried to explain the mix-up but it made no sense. I believe they try to pad the bill here like most mechanics do. The problem is that their prices are so high to begin with, that had I been stuck with the same 30% overcharge to a bill of $750 - I would have been out $975. I suggest you get any quote in writing and consider providing your own parts. I personally will not be back. For what it's worth, the truck is still running well 2 months later.

They charged me a minimal fee to get this taken care of so my daughter has heat. They were very professional and offered to help us with any future issues we have. A great experience. The owner, Bill, was very helpful and I was impressed with their.

We took our Volvo in because there was a message on the dash telling us that engine maintenance was required. Plus, it wouldn't even start up a few times. We thought it was going to be a major issue and would cost tons of money, but we had to get it fixed because I was 9 months pregnant and we didn't have another vehicle that could hold our child's car seat and a car seat for the new baby. We decided not to take it to the dealer (because they were going to charge so much just to look at it), and, instead, tried Complete Car Care because of the great reviews on Angie's List. We were so glad we did! They checked it out and told us that it could be either a fairly simple fix or it could be something pretty major based on the preliminary inspection, and they needed our approval to start working on it. They explained everything to us in detail, but, unfortunately, I have a terrible memory for those types of details. They told us all about each possibility, and how each would have to be fixed, and a rough estimate of the cost. When we gave them the go-ahead to start working on it, they really got in there, and determined that it was the simple fix. They charged us about $60, and we had the car back that afternoon. They could have easily told us that the more serious problem was the case, and made us pay a ton of money for an expensive repair that we didn't need, and we would never have known. We were convinced it was something major already, and told them so. It really impressed us that they were so straight forward with us. They were so nice and so helpful. The service was fantastic, and the quality of the work was great. I actually have no complaints about any part of the experience. I have had a hard time finding a mechanic in Columbia that I trust (we moved here in 2006), and Complete Car Care is by far the best we've been to.They're our new family mechanic!

Dropped my car off, they drove me to work, called me with what they found, gave me an estimate. It was ready that day and I paid what they said. The car problem was fixed.

The price often ends up being less than quoted. They are honest about their work and count on having loyal customers.
