Tom Reed was wonderful in assisting us and getting our job done in a short time frame. Jose and his staff did an excellent job in painting the house. We would hire again.

It was a very good experience from the beginning to the final outcome. Tom was so prompt getting by to evaluate for the estimate, return the estimate, schedule the job. Juan and Jose’ were prompt, professional and very efficient. I’m very pleased with the job they did.

The ceilings in particular were hard work but they were detailed and did a great job covering significant water stains. A little pricey but well worth the money.

Very unprofessional!! I needed a job completed by Tuesday before I moved in. Tom came by and took measurements on Thursday . I was quoted $1600 for 6 small rooms with two coats of paint. I told him I didn't want one room painted before we started the job so I only needed 5 painted.. The painters started on Saturday. The painter got paint on my ceiling, trim and door frames. When I asked if it would be fixed he said that's why he brought ceiling paint and he would fix it the next day. Then he said he couldn't come back the next day because he wanted to go to church. He said he would come back that night if he found a babysitter. He came back and I left him ALONE. When I returned the front door was wide open and his children were in my home along with a woman. He said he was done and had everything cleaned and packed up but there was still paint on my ceiling, trim and door frames. He instantly caught an attitude when I started pointing out areas and said he got paint on the ceiling because the original paint color was on the ceiling. (Not true and I didn't ask for my ceilings to be painted). I also had paint on my floors, cabinets, in my bathtub, sink etc. He slapped paint on a few areas and left. I called the office and sent pictures to Tom the next day and expressed my disappointment. They said he would come back and fix the areas. By this time, I had already moved in and gone back to work so it was extremely inconvenient for me to deal with this which is exactly what I wanted to avoid by having the job done in the five days before I moved. He came over and i pointed out several areas and left my mom there to verify everything. They started painting WITHOUT DROP CLOTHS. My mom watched paint fall in the floor and said something to the painter and he said he didn't drop anything and then rubbed the paint into my carpet so that it wasn't visible. The lead painter complained the whole time and told my mother that he's not going to keep coming back to fix stuff and that I need to sign off on the job so he can get paid. They painted the spots on my ceiling and trim stark white which didn't match. It looked awful. Tom eventually came and said that it was hard to match ceiling paint. My ceiling should have never been painted and matching the paint wouldn't be an issue. The bathrooms were rushed and only done with one coat of paint. You can see straight through to the old color in some parts. He offered to paint my ceiling for additional money. (Yes, they messed my ceiling up and wanted me to pay more to fix it!!!) I told Tom to just send me an updated invoice. I was sent the same $1600 (for 6 rooms when I only had 5 rooms painted) with a $100 discount. When I called/email to complain Tom basically accused me of trying to get a free paint job. We eventually settled on a lower price but if I had known how bad the job would look and how unprofessional the employee was. I would have taken more time off work and done the job myself. I'm still discovering spots where you can see the old paint color and areas where they got paint on my floor a month later. (Note---only the lead painter was rude. The other man whose name I don't know was polite and understanding)

they did a great job, were very clean, responded excellently to call backs and touch ups.  they were $200 more expensive than another quote, but the other quote did not include 2 coats

Tom Reed provided excellent service from the first day onward. He was always very responsive and eager to help. This alone helped make us very pleased. It is rare to find a company with such excellent customer service today. We had some difficulties with the crew cutting some corners during the painting (uneven lines, missed spots) but these were all corrected after we notified Tom. Due to a mix-up, the painting and ceiling stripping debris was left in our garage. With one call, Tom came out on his own to haul the rubbish away. We love the final painting results and highly, highly recommend Certapro!

This was actually our 2nd encounter with CertaPro Painters.  Our first encounter a few months earlier CertaPro Painters pretty much painted our whole house except those two extra rooms that my husband said we would DIY.   After several months  I knew the DIY project was a bust so we called Tom Reed with CertaPro to complete the job;  Ivan was the painter sent to do the 2 rooms and the garage then to my son's house to complete the work there.  Just as before the work was impeccable and the painters had respect for your home.  Furniture was covered and floors were as well.  So professional, Tom Reed comes to your house to get painting desires and expectations.  Soon Tom will send you a  proposal with all the work needed to perform the job, color of paints, expectations, clean up areas, and cost.  Sign agreement after you are satisfied with the proposal.  Next the work is scheduled and finished before you know it.  After work is completed you again sign contract stating you are satisfied.   CertaPro offers a 2 year warranty which we felt very assured.
Our neighbor was looking for a painter and after reviewing the work that was performed at our house, CertaPro had another job.  Also 2
family members are having work also done by CertaPro.

It all went great and we have no complaints.  The crew was at our place in the morning around 8 and worked until sometime between 5 and 6 each day.  They worked on a Saturday to get the job done quicker which we appreciated.  Tom checked in with us often to ensure things were going well and if we had any comments.  At the end his guys asked us to check for any places which needed touching up and Tom even was willing to come out if there was anything further that needed inspection.  We had no issues and would recommend CertaPro without qualification

• Certapro painted the interior of my home beginning on or about December 9, 2014. Ivan and Antonio were the painters who painted our home. My wife and I cant say enough good things about these two gentlemen. They were punctual, very neat and did and excellent job painting our home. They cleaned up every day before they left and left no messes or spills. Excellent painters!
• Would definitley use Certapro in the future and would ask for Ivan and Antonio.. My neighbor recommended them to me, as they painted his house as well. He was extremely satisfied, as I was. Very professional company! Highly reccomend!

I have to say that the final job looks good and Tom was very helpful and professional to work with.  He helped me with things that he probably wouldn't have had to with someone more knowledgable on the work.  I appreciate all he did. 
But because I depend on Angie's list for my needs, I have to be honest and share my dissapointment with the crew that did the work and the crew leader, Marteen?  It started out well and he was very helpful in the beginning but as they got into the work I think he realized he had given Tom an underbid to do the work.  Towards the end when I pointed out one spot he told me that I needed a repairman to replace the that and that my home needed a lot of work.  He was the one that was supposed to be repairing the rotten wood.  Then he said that He was losing money on this job.  I told him he should take that up with Tom.  I did share all this with Tom after the job was completed.  One other issue was they were very messy and didn't want to clean up before they left.  I had to go around and point out things all the while he was trying to get away.  Cigarette butts everywhere, rinsing off pain brushes at the back of my yard, caulking material on my grill, emply drink bottles, etc...  They even left one evening and left the sanding equipment on the back steps.  I see some good reviews out here with a different team that were positive. 
So, Certa Pro and Tom, yes..  Team with Marteen, No...

Tom Reed is extremely professional and works hard to see that the workers do their job right.  The crew that he sent to my house did a very thorough job of prep work.  They power-washed, scraped & caulked thoroughly before starting to paint.  Some wood had to be replaced, so they were careful to prime before putting the finish coat on.  Tom even came when the work was completed & helped to clean up paint chips etc.  We are very pleased with the way "this old house" looks.  This professional job will help it last another 140 years!

WOW!  AN AMAZING JOB AND PLEASANT EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH!  I worked with Mr. Tom Reed of CertaPro and Mr. Verna Smith and crew, painters.  I consistently found Mr. Reed and Mr. Smith and crew to be:  professional, honest, 
quick-responding, readily available and completely committed to quality and customer satisfaction.  I received a fair price from the get-go.  The work was meticulous.  The job was completed 1 day ahead of the agreed-upon schedule.  Mr. Reed came to my home to double-check and insure that I was pleased with the work.  I think my house-painting job was quite involved. I think that Mr. Reed, Mr. Smith and crew knocked the ball right out of the park in consistently meeting and exceding my expectations in every way.  I am delighted and pleased with the results!  My neighbors have commented on the great work.  Thanks Mr. Reed and Mr. Smith!

Tom was very responsive and concerned about my satisfaction at each stage of the job.  He followed up numerous times to make sure I was happy with the paint and the work being done.  We made some changes during the process and those changes were done accordingly.  He met me at the house to do a final walk-around to make sure I was satisfied before asking for final payment.  When I expressed some minor concerns, he accepted them as constructive feedback and used that information to improve his services.

We had an awesome experience with Certapro.  When I filled out the general Certapro form, they called back within a short time period.  Due to a week of rainstorms he was not able to come right away, but kept in close contact to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me.
From the time he came to give an estimate to the time the work was complete was very short.  The workers were on time and professional. They ended up needing a little more paint, but made sure to call me before doing so and letting me know the price.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I definitely would recommend again.  The price was very competitive compared to other places I called, and the only one with good follow through.

Tom Reed and his crew were TOP NOTCH from the get-go.  Tom was super-responsive, professional and helpful throughout the entire process.  I can't say enough good things about the process from start to finish.  The finished product looks great, but Tom being who he is and as helpful as he is made the whole experience great.

We had three paint companies bid for our work.  Doug was by far the most professional.  He was able to provide an bid within 24 hours and started and completed the work within 3 days.  His team was punctual, professional and very good.  I even added some work during the project and they adapted without any problem.  Once the work was completed, Doug cam back and walked the project with us to make sure everything was fine.  The experience was professional and no-hassle.

Doug came out to meet me and find out the scope of work I wanted. He then returned with a carpenter to estimate the amount of repair to wood needed and provided a written estimate very quickly. He also broke it down so I could compare his estimate with others. Throughout Doug was very professional and courteous. The painters and carpenter arrived punctually and cleaned up at the end of the day. It took about 5-6 days to finish the job and there were no interuptions in the progress - it was done within 1 week. They were very neat, careful, and professional. The job is beautiful and I am very happy.
