Save your money, call someone else. These guys are expensive and INCOMPETENT. Joseph "fixed" a bathtub leak by replacing the faucets and diverter. This cost in excess of $500, way too much for parts & labor. The problem is, he never tested the faucets, which is highly unusual for any type of service technician. When my son turned on the faucet to take a shower, the diverter (the middle knob) shot forward with such force, it fractured the ceramic tile at the back of the tub 4 feet away. Thank GOD he wasn't already in the tub, it could have seriously hurt or killed him, that's how violent the force was. Water was shooting out from the diverter into the tub. Fortunately, I own a water main valve shut off tool and was able to stop the leak less than 10 minutes later. What angered me the most is Capital City Plumbing's outright refusal to come out immediately to fix THEIR screw up. This would have meant 4 adults not being able to bathe and go to work until whenever the plumbers decided to finally come out to repair the problem that they caused. After we promised to sue them and post an honest review EVERYWHERE about their lack of concern for our house flooding or having no water, they finally admitted fault and offered a refund. If it were THEIR home, I guarantee you that they would light a fire under someone's rear end to get the problem fixed immediately, not tomorrow sometime, hours later. Who can wait 15-18 hours with water shooting out of your tub? Not us. We'll never use these incompetent non-professionals ever again and suggest you do the same.

Realized I had a leak after 5:00 pm on Friday; called 2 other plumbers but couldn't get help until Tuesday evening -- too long for me! Called Capital City after 6:00 -- had a plumber at my house by noon on Saturday. He was personable and knowledgeable -- had me fixed up within the hour. The service was prompt, effective, and reasonably priced -- I'm thinking I have a new plumber!

Went great Joseph and Johnathan saved me a wealth of money. Had another company come out who diagnosed my problem as major and and extremely costly. Joseph and Johnathan of capital city came out found the real issue and quickly resolve my problem and save me from spending an astronomical amount of money for small and not so major of an issue. My hat's pig to these two ????? thanks. I highly recommend this team.

He's very knowledgeable and knows his plumbing techniques. Before he even took out the toilet he could tell why it was leaking already. He recommended for us to get a handymen to come out and take up the floor to see how much damage has been done. He was on-time, even showed up 30 min before the allotted time given, professional, and courteous.

Joseph diagnosed the problem and completed the work within an hour of arriving to my home. He was polite, professional and explained the problem thoroughly. Joseph also quoted me the price before he began his work. After he completed the job, we discussed an irrigation issue I was having with my system, for which he said they could definitely fix. At the end of the visit, he waived the visit fee and charged me for the repair only. Great job!

My hot water heater had tripped a breaker and I called the Capital City.  Described my problem and they sent a plumber out.  I showed him my problem and he pulled the cover off the water heater.  Inside the water heater was charred and burned up.  We agreed that the only alternative to address this issue was to replace the water heater.  Very pleased with the service we received.  Had a bad experience with a previous plumber who doubled the price from the telephone quote on a faucet installation - Capital City advised that their quotes were firm.

Original quote was $600 less and stated "Replace shower pan and the sub floor under the pan. We will not supply tile or the grout. We will supply everything else" but once everything was torn out I was told that price did not include materials for the wood replacement that was necessary so the price increased. Quote also never stated one way or another that they would remove the trash and debris (which I assumed they would) and so that was left at my curb for me to make separate arrangements for.
Nice guy and project was completed timely but shower floor has large spots of grout along sides that could have been filled in with more tile had he taken time to make smaller pieces.
The work is good - I would just be very direct with asking what is included versus not included to identify other potential charges and be clear with outlining expectations for what the final product will look like. I relied on him too much and didn't speak up enough.

Have a pump that draws water from the lake for lawn irrigation. Outflow pipe kept popping out of pump. Landscaper replaced pump-same problem. Replaced outflow PVC pipe with metal one. Didn't pop off, but water output poor. Called Capital City Plumbing-found landscaper hadn't properly sealed one of the connections and pulling air. Fixed connection and pump worked okay for maybe one week and then not pumping water. Capital City came out again and spent whole day; found main problem one of zone valves not opening. Replaced it and also after checking all 5 stations for proper coverage, found a few sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced. Now system is working great. I will definitely call them first if I have any plumbing or irrigation problems.

When I asked him to check if something could be repaired, he said it was no use and began to spout scare tactics about it exploding and filling the first floor of my house with a foot of water. A foot of water? Really" A 40 gallon tank? He then went on to say it needed to be replaced every 5 years and how one of their customers had hers replaced every 5 years to prevent it from exploding. WHen I asked him about it exploding, he proceeded to look around the room and said something about how much I would have to pay for everything if that happened. I then reminded him of home owners insurance and he said he was going to his truck and write an estimate for a new one. I waited and he returned with an estimate for $1100. I had already gotten another estimate for a new one and the price was $600. I asked him if they had a senior discount (I am 71) and he said no. I paid him the $39.00 service charge fee, told him about the other estimate, and he left.

My tub faucet was leading badly. I was able to get an appointment the same day. First they came out and gave me an estimate for replacing the valves (older house). It seemed high but I called another company and asked for a rough estimate for the work over the phone, and they ballparked about the same amount. Once I called Capital back to schedule the work, the same plumber who gave the estimate was sent to do it, which is a good practice. He arrived promptly and was very professional and courteous. He explained all the work in detail and left the bathroom clean.

This was the second or third time we have used them. We have been satisfied with their services every single time. They are reasonably priced and helpful. The people that work for this company don't talk down to me. They are nice, respectful, and easy to deal with. They are also very reasonably priced. They have been able to come out quickly every time, though they have also been a little bit late each time.

We received a water bill from the city stating we used three times the amount of water we normally use. We called the city and they stated we would need to get a plumbing company out and check for leaks. We called Capital City. They asked if we would mind checking a number of items before they came out. This would save us the house call fee. We agreed. After completing the checks over a two day period, we found we did not have a leak. The meter was at fault. We negotiated a reduced water fee charge and will have a new meter installed by the city this month. Capital City could have come out to our home but saved us their fee. Our new plumbing company we will use is Capital City Plumbing. Thanks Capital City you're number #1 in our book.

They are very, very good. They came out the same day that I had called them. The workers were extremely friendly and professional. They explained what they were doing when they fixed the problem and told me how much it was going to be. He made sure this was okay with me before he proceeded to do the work. It took him about 20 minutes. He even gave me a senior discount as well. I would definitely use them again when I need more plumbing work done.
