The initial appointment of measuring and selection went well on or around December 23, 2014. I was given a copy of the estimate for the work at that time. I was told that nothing would be applied to my credit card until the installation was complete and they would have the contractor call me for installation within 6 weeks. They went ahead and applied the charge to my credit card right away.
6 weeks came and went and I didn't hear a thing. I called their office and was told the sales person was not available but I could leave a message. I left a message and never heard a word back. I called back within the week for follow up. I was again told that he was not available. They began asking me for information as if they had never heard of me or my order and since my credit card was run right away, I began to panic that I had been scammed. I never got a call back. By the 3rd call, I was getting concerned and told them that I had left several messages and had not gotten a response but my credit card had been charged and we were now over 8 weeks into the process. I explained I would contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint if there was no further response. I later checked the BBB website and found out they were not members. The sales person called me back and said that the manufacturer that was building the shutters had gotten behind and there would be delay. I explained that I was getting concerned as I could not speak with anyone and no one called me to let me know about the delay. I had to do ALL the follow-up once the order was placed. The entire process took over 3 months. I expected a wait for construction, but would have appreciated an acknowledgment and a call to let me know they had gotten behind.
