The advisor and the mechanic were very nice and very friendly. The customer service is definitely an A. The only thing I did not like is when I was giving the quote first for the work, I asked him whether or not the rollers had to be done and he told me absolutely that every time they change brake pads, they also change the rollers. My car is a Mercedes and they don't even do that. If they are worn, they change them but if they are not worn, they don't require them to be changed and for him to tell me that it is a requirement, I think it's a bunch of horse. I didn't like that. Their price was really good.

For the Clemson Rd location: I was looking for another mechanic to service my Benz because current mechanic always has several days wait for repair so I thought it was a good time to try someone new. they opened a brand new location and it is convenient to work, etc. Took car in and guy at the counter played and quot;your friendly dumb counter guyand quot; when I asked pointed questions about some services. I should have known right then that this smoke was real being blown up... Anyway, by Wednesday, when we hadn't heard anything, we went to check on the progress of the work and they hasn't even pulled it in yet. Ok, no call the rest of that evening. We go back on my way to work on a Thursday morning and the friendly dumb counter clown starts telling me he's got more business than he can handle and if I want the car back, I can take it. I have NEVER been told to take my car back! Well, I'm p***** but my car needs work and I have a few extra dollars, they're a Benz repair shop and I always see tons of cars in the repair lot so, against my better judgement, I give him another chance. Well,on Friday morning, I go back and he just flat out tells me to take my keys. I have NEVER had any car repair shop turn down money but they sure did because I guess they thought it was ok to keep my car indefinitely or until they got around to eventually fixing it. Well, I took my car and have told everyone I can, NOT to get their car serviced here. I did go back to my old mechanic and the work was about $2,000 but I guess Brown Motor Works thinks that chump change.. Oh we'll, you will never get my chump change or anyone else whom I can influence. This incident happened in February and I'm still venting about it in May. Yes, that's right cause they made me just that mad. And get this: I posted my displeasure to their Facebook page but they removed my comment! Figures.

It went fine, as all the work Brown has done for me in the past had. I have been using them for well over ten years and have always thought they performed excellent service at a reasonable price. I also felt that if they told me my car had a problem that needed attending it really did. I trust them. My Volvo has over 240,000 miles and I attribute much of that longevity to Brown Motor Works.

I give them all A's and I will continue to use them.

What stands out about them is their pricing and the quality of work. They are all professional. I would say that it is pretty good pricing for what they do. I have never had to take my vehicle back there after they did something. I e-mail them at 8.30 in the night and they answer me back by e-mail at 1 o' clock in the morning and that says a lot. It is a good service. They are always on time.

I had just left the Toyota Dealership where they diagnosted my problem to be a bad transmission and had quoted me $3000 to replace it. When I arrive at this shop on Monday, we went for a test drive. They diagnosed the problem to be an engine misfire and suggested that a tune-up be done and estimated the cost to be approximately $700 including changing the valve cover gaskets that I already knew I needed to have replaced. We agreed that the work would be done on Wednesday morning. I dropped the vehicle off on Wednesday morning. I called to check on the status around 2 PM and was told they were test driving the vehicle and if everything went well it would be washed and be ready shortly. We arrived at the shop around 4 PM and the vehicle was just coming out of the wash and was ready to go. I inspected the engine compartment and was very satisfied with the manor in which everything was put back completely just like it should have been. I checked the oil and transmission fluid levels and all were correct. I started the engine and checked for misfire and all appeared to run well. Because I lived 40 miles away, I did not make the final accessment of completion until I arrived home.My decision - professional job had surely been completed on my vehicle.

Very nice folks. Ron kept me informed as to what was happening. He got my permission before proceeding with any repairs. I gave them an A for price, though I don't really have anything to compare them to. The price was lower than I feared it would be, or I had prepared myself for. The car was ready when they promised and the repairs seem to be working fine. I did appreciate that the car came back cleaner than it was when I left it also.

We have been going to Brown Motor Works since mid 2005 after a referral from a friend. Every time we take our car in for service they are very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are right on. They never over charge for a part and their labor costs are never over-priced either, and they always have parts in stock and my car is always returned to me the same day! I have had nothing but the best service from them!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
