Brian did a great job.  He arrived promptly and the price was exactly what we had agreed upon when the estimate was given.  I had three very different projects that I requested that he work on and he did a great job on each one.  He also has a very easy going personality and listened to all my concerns.  Additionally he was very careful ensuring that everything was protected while he did his work, and cleaned up as well as I would have done myself.  I would without question hire Brian again and recommend him to anyone I know.

Brian said that all of the problem areas would disappear once it dried.  Not only did they not go away as he suggested they would, but I now see additional areas that have paint raised on the surface.     My initial meeting with Brian was disconcerting.  He quoted $650 to paint one room.  This included smoothing and painting a ceiling that I had already scraped.  This $650 did not include painting the molding or the doors. Later, as if it was generous of him, he conceded to do the baseboard.  Though hearing the amount of the quote shocked me, I agreed to it because he justified it with declarations of his uncompromising level of work. In fact, the reason he said he would not do the window sills is that it would take too much time to get them to the level of his satisfaction, again, referencing his uncompromising quality of work and having no intention of damaging his integrity as a professional.  According to him, if I want it done "right" this is how much it will cost.    Plans were made for him to come the next day to do the ceiling and the day after to paint the walls.  Before he arrived the first day he asked if I would mind him doing the work all in one day.  I was surprised that all of that work could be done in one day but he is the expert, as established above, and if he says he can do it then it must be possible.     Brian does a lot of talking.  I listened politely as he explained multiple times why poor results were fixed to the best of his ability.  The first issue was that I had already purchased Behr paint and he preferred Sherwin Williams.  I would have been happy to have purchased the Sherwin Williams had I not already purchased the Behr.  He went ahead with the Behr.  I overheard him tell his assistant that he was surprised how well it covered. With breaks for breakfast and lunch he sanded the ceiling and walls and gave two coats of paint to both. Why, as a professional, would he come out to complain to me about how hard it is to sand and prep?  Am I not paying a lot of money for him to do what he is telling me he is the best at? This was more than a little annoying as I was at my own work on the computer needing quiet.     It began to rain early morning and continued with heavy rain all day.  Naturally, the paint will take longer to dry.  This is a major cause of the problem I am about to explain.  He called me into the room to show me that, after two coats, the paint is still separating and not completely covering.  He blamed the quality of the Behr paint.  It is now 1:30pm.  It was devastating to me that we would have to get Sherwin Williams paint to redo it and I would have to pay him another $100!  In the back of my mind I am also thinking, "Two coats of paint within an hour on a heavy, wet day?"  Nevertheless, I went to Home Depot and battled with the manager to give me my money back for the faulty paint.  In fact, they did use the wrong base to mix the green color so there was this legit problem.  Not so for the gray.  The humidity on this heavy rainy day was still an issue.   At the end of the day, after much complaining about how hard it was, we inspected it together and agreed that it was at best "good" not "great" and certainly not "perfect."  He did not "skim" the edge of the ceiling because he said they started but they would have had to continue around the entire ceiling.  This IS what I am paying for.  I did not argue with him about this.  I paid his $650 (minus 10% coupon from Angie's List) plus the additional $100.  Feeling like I would give him a bad review, which I reassured him that I wouldn't, he offered to make the job right by offering to power wash my house for $100.  Power washing was the last thing on my list of financial needs of my house.  He then offered to paint a small room in another area for $100. Of course this would not include the ceiling, molding or doors.  No, thank you.   The final job was obviously not the quality work that he strutted the day he came to bid on the job.  Had he kept the plan to break the job up into two days, he would have had more time to do it right.  His justification for this decision was to get my job behind him so that he could tend to a job of a very picky client and needed to give that his full attention.  The walls aside, the ceiling is no where near acceptable for the amount of money that was paid out.  As for the walls, there are still areas of separation even after the application of the Sherwin Williams $80 a can Paint.  There are rough spots as well.  Overall, it is a poor job especially for such a revered painter.  My husband is beside himself and insists, along with me, that he return to fix this.  We will have to make arrangements for him to come when my husband is home.      I stopped him when he began to explain what he would need to do in order to fix it, that I would need to buy more paint, and that he would need to be paid more.  I told him that I didn't need to know how and I would not give another penny.  Just fix it.  He did      come back and fix it at no additional cost to me.   Here's some free advise.  Do not give a wall two coats of paint within hours of each other when rain is pouring down and give yourself ample time to do a job right. I may be the exception because you have a high rating on Angie's List, but I think that a cumulation of the above issues, circumstances and bad decisions made the job he did for me not have the same results that he usually produce. It is a good thing for me that he is a man of integrity.      Overall, I think that Brian is a skilled painter when he takes his time and does the job right.  I would not, however, call him again.

Showed up with his assistant who wrote down what was to be done in each room with good detail. Quote followed a couple days later via e-mail and we scheduled to start a week or so later. All went as promised. Did excellent prep work, was clean and tidy and did a very good job. Was so pleased asked him to quote on re-painting my office conference room and he did so quickly and professionally the very next day. Highly recommend!

Came earlier than scheduled time. I had a short time frame to complete the job and they completed it well before the deadline. Brian and 2 staff were all very pleasant and did an excellent job. I will be having them do all my paint jobs from now on.

Response from Brian Sine Painting & Pressure Washing
"Hello: I don't understand how four A's and one C comes out to an over C rating. If A's are 4.0 and C's are 2.0 the total should be 18 divided by 5 categories which is a 3.6 or a B, Even is you say it is six categroies, that is 18/6 which is a solid B. Does the customer assign an overall rating, regardless of the actual mathematical average?"

Brian came over the Saturday prior to painting and pressure washed the porch.  He returned on Thursday of the following week to paint.  He arrived on time, and ready to get to work!  I will definitely use his services again!

Brian is very easy to work with.  He shows up on time and will call if delayed.  He and a helper do all of the work rather than assigning a crew.  Workmanship is excellent.  Price is fair and he gets the job done on time.  Finally, he cleans up after the job is completed.
I dreaded starting this painting project, but Brian made it quick and easy.

Brian was courteous and gave me the best estimate out of 4 painters. He did an excellent quality job, and he precisely estimated how many cans of the expensive stain we needed to buy. Brian had to work an additional day to prep the deck, according to the exact directions on the stain can...and he did not request additional money. Brian was very careful to protect our brand new vinyl siding. He cleaned up well from the job. His administrative assistant, Bernadette, was a pleasure to work with.

The only reason I marked him down for professionalism is that he is listed on Angie's List as well as his business card as being insured, but he has allowed that insurance to lapse. I requested, therefore, that he add a couple of clauses to the written contract stating that he and his company would take full responsibility and liability for any injury, death, or property damage. He was willing to do so.

I would definitely call Brian again, but I would want him to reinsure before hiring in the future.

Mr. Sine and David are the most professional painters I have ever met. After they finish painting it looks like an Artist has painted your walls. The walls are smooth with absolutely no streaks. Every nail hole is fixed unless you ask them not to. I will never let anyone else paint my house. Mr. Sine made sure my house was perfect before he left. His prices are very reasonable. If you want quality work, he is the one to call. Plus his personality is fantastic. He is honest and does what he says and more. I felt like I've known him my entire life. I will be calling him again soon to do my kitchen and cabinets.

Brian did a great job.  Initially, we were only going to do exterior paint, but because we were impressed with his work, we also asked him to do interior painting, wall repairs, and carpentry work. He was professional and courteous and his team did a great job. We highly recommend him.

Brian Sine did an excellent job with painting the interior of our home. He and his crew were very professional, thorough, and prompt, and completed the job in less time than originally estimated. The appearance of our home's interior has changed completely for the better. All of our family are very pleased with the work, and we would definitely use his services again.

Brian Sine was very responsive and punctual. He and his helper showed up earlier than scheduled. They painted interior walls and trim for two adjacent rooms. Two coats were required. The job was completed in two days. They moved heavy furniture and even painted behind large appliances. I would hire him again in the future. Job well done.

Brian worked quickly and provided great job.  Afterwards, I realized I prefer semi-gloss (a more shiny finish), he used matte.
Nevertheless, job was excellent.
