Absolutely outstanding! I have used Mike and Charles and their company since they started business and I do not believe that anyone could do a better job installing and maintaining the three HVAC units in my home and my wife's art studio. As part of my total remodel of my home, they replaced all the HVAC ductwork and, over time, replaced all the units for more efficient ones. Believe me, the house was cleaner and our electric bills were substantially lowered. They will come out on holidays and weekends when you need them. They have come out on the 4th of July and at midnight--these instances when the builder supplied house units broke down and before they replaced them. They have always been courteous and professional as have all their employees. I hope I can find HVAC professionals as competent and efficient as they are when I complete my move to Johns Island. I will leave my home buyer with a paid up maintenance contract for the next year and I am confident they will continue with Blythewood Heating AC & Refrigeration.

Looks and works great! We had a new heat pump installed about a year earlier, and the installer did not calculate enough return air or size the ductwork properly. We talked to at least 8 HVAC professionals, and Charles of Blythewood Heating &and Air impressed us as the one to do the job. Before designing the ductwork, Charles and his assistant conducted a thorough survey of our house: insulation, windows, sun orientation, size of system, etc. They calculated the size of the return air ducts (enlarging one and adding a third) and installed three floor supplies. They also installed the correct thermostat for our unit, which can control temperature and humidity. (Our previous installer gave us a thermostat that only controlled temperature.) They did EXCELLENT work. The crew arrived on time every day, was very professional, and cleaned up all debris. The office staff is very responsive. For the first time in 25 years -- now on our third heat pump and second round of ductwork replacement -- the temperature is the same in every room of our house. And we FINALLY see a difference in our utility bill! It has gone down at least 20%. The crew sealed every supply vent and tightly connected all the ducts. My husband went underneath the house when they were done and checked every connection. He only found one spot where he felt airflow, and Charles immediately sent someone to correct the issue. They are great to work with. Based on our experience, this company does not oversell -- they figure out what you need. Their price was slightly higher than some other bids, BUT THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! I would highly recommend them for any ductwork job and vapor barrier that you do.

I called several Heat and A/C companies in the area. The receptionist at Blythewood Heating and A/C was the first one who understood my problem, she put me in contact with the right person. When they came out to our home, they offered several options to solve our problem. We opted to go with the Split Unit for 2 reasons: 1 energy efficient, 2 no noise inside the room.  Blythewood Heat and A/C showed up on time, every time. Professional, Knowledgeable, Friendly, Neat, Clean, Willing and Able to answer any question we had during the process of installation, are just a few of the attributes of everyone who came to our home. The work performed took almost all day. They had to go through the attic to drill a hole through the outside wall to connect the 2 units. They cleaned up every area where they worked. At the end of the day I had nothing to do but enjoy the quiet heat in my room over the garage.

Went very well . He replaced a capacitor in the air conditioner. While up in our attic he also discovered a large amount of loose lint on the floor. He continued to investigate where it was coming from and discovered that our dryer was never vented to the outside. We could have had a fire someday had he not found that problem. Thank you for the great referral.

I Purchased a complete HVAC system about 3 years ago. I am very pleased with the new furnace and air conditioning, (Trane) everything has worked fine so far. My complaint is with the service after the sale. I am supposed to be on an annual maintenance agreement which gets me two visits per year to check over the system to ensure everything is working properly. One visit is supposed to be in the spring and one in the fall. In April of this year I called to see about my spring check up and was told that those appointments would be scheduled in either May or June and I would receive a call. It is now nearing September and I still haven't had my spring check up yet. The people are very polite and professional when you are buying a new system but not so easy to deal with for routine maintenance.

The initial consultation was low pressure - we were not pressured to purchase equipment we did not want nor budget for. The house was measured inside to determine the proper tonnage. Once we were satisfied, an install date was set.
The installation crew showed up on time and ready to work. They were very professional and installed the upstairs unit (attic) the first day - when the outside temps hit 97. Due to weather (monsoons in SC?) the downstairs unit took a day and a half - but again each day they were on time and ready to work.
A follow-up inspection by the company found a faulty compressor fan, and a repairman was dispatched as soon as possible. He made it to the house at 10:30 pm (on a Friday night no less) and installed a temp replacement fan until a replacement could be ordered. I would have never known, had they not come by to check things out. They replaced the fan and blades a few days later.
Everyone from the initial sales person, office staff, installation crew and repairman were very professional and courteous. An excellent experience overall.

Great job!  Mr. Joe was very thorough and knowledgable.  To put a compressor saver on unit in future.
