Twan came to the rescue and fixed my garage door within an hour of me calling. He was very respectful and took care of the issue quickly. The gentleman that I spoke with originally heard the panic in my voice and assured me that he would move things around to get me taken care of as soon as possible. Great company and associates! ?

I contacted the company via e-mail and was sent a response in a few hours.  I required 2 garage door openers installed.  I was quoted a price and told they could get me on the schedule for the same week.  I was called when the tech was on his way and he was actually a little early.  He worked efficiently and was professional when we conversed.  He showed me how the openers worked and explained some installation issues that he was able to work through.  Very happy with this company.

I backed up into my garage door earlier in the week and gave it a pretty good bump.  A few days later, it came off the tracks and I was unable to get it working again after several hours of working on it.  I finally gave up and called Bilt Rite first thing on Friday morning.  They said they would have someone call me back to schedule an appointment and told me that it would probably be Monday before they could get to it.  After lunch no one had called, so I called back and spoke directly with the scheduler, who had not gotten the message.  However, she was still able to work me in to the schedule for Monday, from 3-5pm.  She said it could possibly even be after 5 as it would be the last call of the day.  However, she called back about 2 hours later and told me that she had managed to move the call between 2-4pm, which was good.  I asked if the repairman could call me about 30 minutes in advance so I could make it home from work to meet him and she said that he would.

At 2pm Monday I got a call from the repairman.  He told me he was on the way and would be arriving at 2:30.  At 2:30 sharp he was at my front door.  He surveyed the damage, told me that the problem was one of the cables was off track and that the charge would be $80 including the $35 service call fee, and he could do the work right away.  I told him I had a coupon for a free service call, so the total charge was $45.  He was done in about 20 minutes.  He even lubricated all the springs and rollers, and now my garage door is working better (and quieter) than ever.

I'm very impressed by Bilt Rite and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to anyone who needs garage door repairs!

The guy came out and said that I needed a new garage door opener. My opener wasn't working and that is why the garage door wouldn't open. Simple enough. I was irritated that I had to wait for almost a week for them to be able to fix it, since the door was very, very hard to push up and would slam down (the sales guy noticed this as well). I have young children and didn't like that idea. Another guy, the installer, came out and replaced the opener, and the door would still not open. The installer realized that I had a snapped spring on the door. That was the original and only problem. I was sold a garage door opener that I didn't need, then they wanted another $280 to fix the spring. I found someone else to put the spring in for $125. When Biltmore called me back to set up an appointment to fix the spring, I told them that I found someone else. The man on the phone was very threatening and told me that the warranty on the garage door would be voided if I got someone else to do the work. I said that the work would be done to the door. He said it did not matter. Then he started backpedaling and saying that he would do it for $200. I said no and he hung up on me. I feel that they took complete advantage of me, and instead of apologizing for diagnosing my problem incorrectly, they tried to threaten me into spending more. Horrible, horrible experience. Please do not use this company.

I had a problem some months later and someone came out. I wanted to look for someone else to find out if someone else was cheaper. I don't know if you have to use these people or you can get who ever you want. It looks like from the doors, from the inside you can see on the edges of the garage door, the outside and it's like it's not closed in completely. I would like to have them do that. The first man didn't seem very interested in his work I could say. The second time the man came out and he told me that the thing about the remote, how to work it and work the door. I don't think the first guy did that. He just handed me the manual. I could be wrong.

It was OK. The home that we put it on was way out in the Boondocks in South Carolina and it took us a little while to get them, after we ordered the door and they told us when it would be ready, it took a little bit to get them actually come out there to perform the work. The explanation was that they had people that were sick, which was a little frustrating for us. We bought the coupon and shoved out the money and it wasn't as fast as we thought it was going to be. But that said, the door is great, the service was excellent as far as the quality and the workmanship once they got out there. It was just a little bit of a frustrating process to actually get them out there. But I can imagine that if you don't have staff working, you don't want to send them out way out in the middle of nowhere for an all-day thing and then they are not available for in-town stuff. I'm a business person too, so I understand that. They charged us extra but that was because we needed a larger door than what the coupon was offered for. They were kind enough to take the coupon and then we just paid the difference. But we knew that ahead of time and they explained that to us. The coupon clearly said what type the door was. Answering phone calls was good; they just didn't get out there as fast as we hoped to get it done. We priced about 15 different companies and that was definitely the best price. At several times they told us they would probably there this week and then it wasn't. They were very professional, they knew what they were doing.

He came as scheduled, went through a process of checking the doors, lubricated them, and told me they were in good condition. It did cost a lot ($86) for what he did, but worth it for peace of mind.

The serviceman arrived on time and got right to work. He removed the broken opener and installed the new one. It was obvious that he knew what he was doing. He took the old mechanism with him. The next day he returned and installed an outside keypad. His original order had not included the keypad.

Called the company on a Monday and service was scheduled to examine the damaged gargage door rail the next day. The company explained it would depend on the type of garage door if the repair could be made during the house call. They may or may not have the parts. The technician arrived about 15 minutes outside the window of expected arrival time. This was okay. I called to see if I had the incorrect date/time and the dispatcher stated he should be driving up my driveway right now and he was. He was very polite, examined the damage, gave the estimate and proceeded to repair the railing. He completed the task in less than 30 minutes. He was very professional and efficient. The bill was reasonable. But then again, I have no idea the cost of replacing one railing along with the sensor. I would definitely recommend this company to others. I was very satisfied. I would recommend this company to friends and family.

from the initial call for a repair, the service manager sent a qualified repairman to see what my door problem was. they came the same day. he advised my unit could be repaired but the cost would be 1/2 the price of a new one. i appreciated them telling me my options and the cost so i could make a sound choice. i went ahead and bought a new unit which runs much smoother and quiter than my old one. he was done in about an hour. very proffessional
