Had a bit of a false start with another company but once AquaCare got involved everything was made better. We had them install a new liner and Duwayne went over and beyond to ensure we had as much a stress-free experience as possible. We had some concerns about water leakage from old liner and rust that had formed underneath - every question was answered thoroughly and the actions described were performed exactly as described. Even during the fill process with our garden hose we were concerned about wrinkles and such - they smoothed with no problem. Once on the schedule they showed up early, drained, and then began the removal process. During the fill process we called them when the water reached a certain point and they were there within an hour to remove vacuums and make some minor adjustments. Will definitely use them again for other services.

First, I appreciated that while the opportunity existed for Duwayne to upsell many services he was considerate of our situation and only offered to support us specifically in what we were asking him for (beginning with pool "quick fill" service by truck). But the more I spoke to him the more interested I became in engaging for him the majority of outstanding work on my project.
Above all else Duwayne understood our urgency and was consistently able to reassure us that he could, and would, help us get our pool back in operating order as soon as possible. Nobody wants to have their pool out of commission in the middle of June!
Duwayne and crew showed up when they said they would, performed the work that I requested with high quality and kept me regularly informed about progress.
I could not be happier with having found Duwayne/Aqua Care and I would recommend him to anyone without reservation.
I would note as has been mentioned in other reviews that the company phone number/voicemail does not often get checked by Duwayne/Aqua Care. I had to call 3 or 4 times (leaving v-mail each time) before I finally spoke to Duwayne. After we made contact my interactions were great - but it was a challenge to make the first connection.

My initial work with this company went well. I got a competitive quote. They had to wait upon some patio repairs and the weather. Pool liner went in and looked great. Some miscommunication regarding some directions while putting it in, but no issues.
They did great changing out the pool pump motor. NOT the best price in my opinion. But it was done quickly and all worked well.
The only reason I did not give an 'A" rating is because, after the flooding in SC, I had noted that the pool liner had shifted. I have called repeatedly and cannot get someone to call me back to find out what options I had. Disappointing.

They do not return calls. They have horrible customer service. You cannot reach anyone at any phone number. Does not return emails. I don't have a problem with their work.

When work is performed, they do an excellent job. The problem that I have is that the do not return phone calls. I have contacted them 5 times with a question about my pool leaving voicemails and text messages with no response. I have since had someone else come out and repair the problem that I had.allard Drive

Everything went well...came on agreed upon date, put pool cover in appropriate place , cleaned pool and added chemicals. I have used Aqua Care for many years and have been very pleased with their promptness, honesty, and work. I also use them for weekly cleaning and have been pleased..

I have been a satisfied customer of Aqua Care Pool Service for more than 12 years. They have addressed several issues that have come up over this period of time. (Liner, pool cover, pump motor, pool maintenance, etc.) I have been pleased with their attention and concern dealing with these situations. I feel very confident when dealing with Duwayne Trapp, the owner. I have been impressed with his honesty and character over the years. We have always been able to reach a solution to problems that is suitable to both parties. I am continuing to use their weekly pool cleaning and maintenance plan. This works well for my family and our needs. Christopher Miller, services our pool weekly and does an excellent job. He is always pleasant and dedicated to doing a first-rate job. I have recommended Aqua Care to many of my friends. I do not hesitate to give Aqua Care Pool Service an A grade.

EXPERIENCE BEFORE AQUA CARE: We have a 30-year old vinyl pool surrounded by trees that drop leaves all year long. It is a lot of work, but also nice when its functional. We have used 3 pool companies prior to hiring Aqua Care. The liner was replace in 2006 by Miller Pools, and this company was very good until Mr Miller retired. Later, we began a pool cleaning service with Lanier pools. Unfortunately we were spending lots of money and the pool kept getting worse and worse, often cloudy, which is hard to accept when you are spending $200/mo for 2 hours of work on their part. Also, during that time the pool began leaking and the liner developed tears. Lanier first diagnosed a leak in the back flush line and added a valve. Next they said there was a leak under the polaris pump, and the leak got worse AFTER they fixed it. Last year we kept the pool level up by leaving a hose dripping - another company replaced the pump but wired it wrong, and luckily our electrician could fix it!
AQUA CARE EXPERIENCE: This year the leaking was so bad ($200 water bills) that in April we called Aqua Care based on the recommendation of the contractor who painted our house. The owner, Duwayne Trapp, is very helpful and very experienced pool expert. I trust his analysis of pool problems completely (However, I also learned that it was best to contact Duwayne directly rather that try to communicate with him through employees). The liner had obvious tears near the steps, so we needed to replace it before trying to find leaks. This was finished at the end of April. No issues, and it was during a very stormy time, so there were some rain delays. A leak detection firm was used to try to find the leaks in our old lines. They found a leak in the polaris line (luckily not under concrete). and repaired it. This was completed in June. Unfortunately, after that repair there was still a leak when the polaris was hooked up. Another leak was detected, this time under the concrete. We opted for the less expensive option of putting in an above ground pipe system to run the polaris. This was completed in July and is working well, and it saved me considerable money.
The main reason I did not give Aqua Care an A is in the details. There was quite a bit of vermiculite in the pool and on the deck after the liner replacement. Also, it took a long time from the time of contacting them to having a functional clean pool. there are holes in the concrete where the leak detection company drilled. I am supposed to fill those myself. However, on the positive side Duwayne did not charge me for the second leak detection, and he replaced a cheap skimmer basket (they kept breaking because of leaves) with a more expensive one and didn't charge me. I will gladly use this company again, just make sure you get Duwayne's cell phone number! If he could clone himself, I'm sure I would have given a A rating!

This company was contracted to renovate my 25 yr old inground vinyl liner pool. We had severe leaks, a crumbling concrete pool deck, old stairs. I also was ordering a pool enclosure from another company, which AquaCare was going to install. The enclosure cost $20,000 which was paid to the enclosure manufacturer. From the outset, I stated that I wanted ALL OF THE PIPES leading to and from the pool and the filter replaced.....they were original, leaking and with the removal of the old deck, this was the ideal time. The entire filtering system was to be replaced also, as it was 20 yrs old as well. Of course, a new vinyl liner and stairs.
The first 3 days went fairly well, as they were demoing the old deck. Then the trouble began.....no shows, with fabricated excuses. This was followed with failure to replace the leaking pipes, and using the old filter motor and filter skimbox...in other words cutting corners and not providing what was contracted to be done. This type of unethical and extremely unprofessional business practice continued. It culminated with the install of the enclosure in November after it sat in my carport for a month because they wouldn't install it on the day it was delivered or the 4 days following delivery. They had been informed that my husband and I were leaving for 10 days to visit my very ill father-in-law. When we arrived home, it took over 2 weeks to get them to come out and do the install. I had provided them with a copy of the install instructions before we left, they had weeks to read about and understand the very simple installation process. When they finally did come to install, they did not perform the caulking required to fully waterproof the double walled structure, so I have water inbetween the two layers, as well as a voided warrantee for the pool enclosure.
In addition to shoddy work practices, not honoring contractual agreements the company never pulled a permit from the town building dept. I now have a pool light which is controlled by use of a circuit breaker, which is not correct to electrical code. I will be paying to have that corrected, using my own tried and true electrician. I have a nice usable pool, but with so many glaring imperfections due to incorrect workmanship, none of which should have occurred. DO NOT EVEN ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE. YOU WILL REGRET USING THEM FOR EVEN THE SIMPLEST TASKS. I had to replace the old motor within the first month after "work was completed", it stopped operating. the old skim box is leaking now.....I NEVER EXPECTED PERFECTION, JUST HONEST AND THOROUGH WORK.

Do not waste your time with this company. They came out to my house, broke pieces on my motor and did not inform me until I came out to see why someone would have a saw near my pool equipment. At that point, they were attempting to install a used part b/c they broke my part. Once again, no idea of any of this until I came out to ask which is highly unprofessional and unethical. While one guy went to buy or get another part, the other took it upon himself to lay down in my hammock for about 45 minutes..SMOKING and throwing butts in my yard. Secondly, I was given an estimate of $150 to open my pool which was covered and only needed to be cleared up. However, I received an outrageous bill which stated services that were NOT provided. I wanted to warn any would be client to steer clear!!!

We called them to give an estimate on fixing a leak in our gunite pool as they had performed the inspection when we bought the house. We were told it was no problem. They came out and we also asked them to fully drain and clean it for an additional charge. They put a sump in the pool to drain it and never returned! They had said they would be back in 2-3 days. Both my husband and I have called several times, but cannot get a call back. At one point he answered and said he would call us right back, but never got our names. It's been over a month and nothing! We have now cleaned the pool ourselves and are looking for someone else to come fix the leak. Don't waste your time with these people!

I have had trouble with them several times. I do not know why they always send me this particular technician who often forgets to complete everything he is supposed to do he sometimes forgets to vacuum, forgets to turn the water back on, or forgets to turn off our vacuum system. I have had to speak with them several times to have them actually clean the D and E filter. The prices seem very high for the service we actually get. I am just not happy with this company, and we plan to change companies very soon. We have given them a year to get it right but they have failed to follow through on their obligations.
