I can't speak highly enough of this company. I am new to the area and this was referred to me by a friend. He is a local gentleman who has been in business for years and seemed much more personable than some of the bigger "brand name" repair people around. He was upfront and fair about his pricing. He was even able to make the repair while I was at work and ensured everything was cleaned up behind him. A complete 10/10 and I will continue to pass along the good recommendations to people in the area.

He was very professional and did a great job. He came and completed the work in less than 30 minutes. He put the door back on track and adjusted the springs.

Great! I called at quarter past 2, was given a verbal quote which I agreed to. He told me that he would be there in about an hour and a half. They were there on time (actually a little early) and got straight to work. They got both doors fixed and tested quickly. When done he gave me a walk through of what he did.

I called them on Sunday 11/15/15 and left a message. Neil called me back Monday morning and was able to troubleshoot my problem over the phone. He was going to come the same day but I was working out of town so we scheduled for him to come Tuesday. I asked Neil if I could leave my garage door unlatched and leave him a check. He told me it may not be as much as what he thought it should be. So I asked if I could leave the amount blank. And he said yes and that he appreciated me trusting him. When I got home that evening the door was fixed and there was a receipt where I had left the check.He had actually done work for me before and I trust him, both times he has come out the problem was just as he anticipated and the charges were very fair and exactly what he quoted me over the phone. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Neil was great.  I thought we needed new tracks a new spring and possibly a whole new door.  Neil came the day after I called him.  He tried to come the same day, but I was unavailable.  He worked on my garage door for less than an hour it now it works perfectly.  He discovered the home builder did not install the tracks properly.  After fixing them he adjusted the travel limits of the opener and lubed the entire door.  I am very happy with the work he did. 
I chose Affordable Garage Door after seeing some F reviews on the "highly rated provider".  I didn't like hearing that they were in the up sale business.  Neil is not.  He finds the problem and fixes it.  He could have put in a new spring, but instead he let us know that it may go in the future and when it does to call him, we will.

I came home one afternoon to find my garage door pully and cable hanging loose. 
I searched Angies List and called Affordable Garage Doors based on their prior good reviews.
He said he could be at my home the next day and gave me a 2 hour window for arrival.
The next day, he called on his way to make sure I was home. He was polite, businesslike and knowledgeable.  It took him only 20-30 minutes to do the work.  He did a thorough job, replacing not only the broken spring but also the matching spring, broken pully and he tuned things all up.  
I was very pleased with the service and will definitely call him again for garage door service.

Came home one evening to find the garage door wouldn't open.  Problem was a broken spring.  Jumped on Angieslist to get an idea of who to call.  I had used one of the "big deals" for a garage door tuneup only 1 month prior, but indications were that company was expensive.  I called Affordable Garage Door Repair because they had very good ratings, and I noticed they were local to me (same zip code). 
Neill (the owner) diagnosed the problem over the phone and quoted me to replace my current (broken) spring with a torsion spring.  He came out the next day, during the 2 hour window he had estimated during the call.  He went right to work, completed the job promptly, and the price was exactly what he'd quoted over the phone. 
I will not hesitate to call him in the future, and would highly recommend him. 

Neil is the owner and performed all services.  He is very professional, punctual and creative.  Prices were very reasonable in view of the difficulty of the job and extra labor required.
The original non-insulated garage doors never operated properly due to 14-foot high garage ceilings.  A pipe froze and broke last winter damaging the ceiling.  I have hired several different companies over the years to remedy the situation, without success.  
Neil came up with one very good solution and the doors operated far better than the original ones  However, Neil was not fully satisfied and, being a perfectionist, thought he could do even better.  He came up with a very innovative solution to custom cut the tracks.and fit the doors properly.  Once the trim seal was replaced, the doors operated perfectly with a good tight seal.  During three 20-degree nights, the garages stayed above 45 degrees!
I couldn't be more satisfied with Neil's work and professionalism, and highly recommend him for garage replacement or repairs.

I was about to leave the house and we closed the garage door. It misaligned and the track bolts came off the track. I have to admit I thought it would be expensive. I called another company which couldn't get out there day. So as I searched thru Angieslist, I decided I'd the Affordable Garage Door company. Neil came around 1:49pm, about a couple hours from when I called and fixed it immediately in 20 min. I was very impressed and shocked how fast he fixed it. He was honest and reliable. I'd definitely recommend him.

I called about 9:00 am and spoke with the owner, explained my problem and he advised me that he was in route to my side of town and that he would be at my house around lunch time.  He called at 11:45 to advise me that he was in route. He was very professional, timely and reasonable.  I checked with several companies, including Bilt Rite(who installed the door) and Affordable was quite a bit less expensive and I did not have to wait 3 days for him to do my repairs.  I am very pleased and would definitely use this company again.
