a) When my rental home needed to be serviced, they apparently had trouble contacting the tenant who lived there at the time. Since the home is rented through a management company, I had no knowledge that they were having trouble reaching the tenant. I felt they should have contacted me after not being able to reach the tenant, but they did not. As a result, the appointment for them to service the AC unit was finally scheduled much later than it was supposed to be completed. ln the time that the service appointment was pending, a problem developed in the attic of the home where the AC unit was located. Ultimately, I ended up spending a lot of money for repairs that likely would have been identified much sooner if I had been notified that they were having trouble setting up the appointment to get into the home for maintenance. No, I don't blame them for the problems that ultimately cost me a lot of money, but I do think they should have informed me that they were having trouble gaining access. I could have set up the appointment to meet them to let them in the home myself and possibly prevented the costly repair.
b) On another visit, the service technician removed a brand new air filter that I had inserted. I typically buy the more expensive filters that last several months. He replaced it with one of the standard filters that is less expensive. Then, I saw him put the new filter on the vehicle that he was driving instead of discarding it in my outdoor trash bin. Since most of their service technicians throw the filters away immediately, I assume he was going to use it for his personal benefit. I could have informed him that I saw him, but I am not a person who likes to be in situations of conflict or disagreement. I just decided that rather than create a potential uncomfortable situation, I would let things be, but I decided not to renew my service agreement. There are too many good companies out there that do the right thing to tolerate such inappropriate actions.
In summary, I had mostly positive experiences over multiple years. However, I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere. You can be the judge.
