I was genuinely pleased with the service.  My loan officer, Jacob Crowder, was so kind and understanding.  He helped me get through all the frustrating paperwork and streamlined the process so that I felt at ease througout the entire process. Other mortgage companies just funneled my application around, but 1st Choice Mortgage responded promptly the next morning after I submitted my application at 1 in the morning (their 24-hr website allowed me to place my application at my convenience).  By that afternoon Jacob and I  were discussing how to get me into my home.  I am so thankful I had a loan officer who had my best interests in mind.  He even sent checked up on me after I closed, just to make sure everything ws going well.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

They were awful and we wouldn't recommend them. They lied. We spent 3 months working on trying to do construction on a term loan which they called us about. They sold us a program that was basically a lie. They put us through a very hard time. I would never recommend them or their vice president Jacob Crowder.

We're military so at the time we resided in another state while attempting to purchase a home at our future duty station in another state. I made several phone calls to mortgage companies that provided FHA loans and this man really stood out so I chose him,and he stuck it out with me for 5 long agonizing months. He did almost everything in three's because the first two homes where close calls but the price ended up not being right once we were under contract. He took initiative to communicate with my realtor and anyone else that required his assistance in finalizing the transaction. What mattered to me the most was not only his thouroughness but also his patience and understanding. I made countless phone calls with MANY questions over this 5 month period and he never once became annoyed or aggrevated. Matter of fact, he would even take the time after business hours. Once we found the right house, he acted fast. It was beginning of December and he was determined to get us in by Christmas. Sent us all docuemnets through UPS and walked us through the agonizing paperwork over the phone and through e-mail. He left absolutley nothing out and gave us an amazing fixed APR and helped us cut extra costs where we could without jeopordizing our assests. Upbeat, great personality and truely cares about his customers.
