"Thank you [Member name removed]. It was a pleasure working for you and helping you get the things done that you wanted. Vince"
"Thank you [Removed member name]. It was a pleasure helping you. Vince"
After a few months I noticed a puddle of water on both sides under my sink. It seemed not enough sealer was used when the drains were installed. Again, I go to and buy the items to fix it myself.
"I do not understand why this review is being placed nearly a year after the work was completed and I absolutely don't understand why a D grade was given. I was not informed or contacted about ANY issues concerning the work that was done during this year since it was completed. He says he fixed the issues himself... I don't understand why.... I offer a free, full year warranty. This isn't the only review by this customer. He says in this and the last review that he would not hire me again even though he hired me again and says in the next review that he was trying to get me to do more work for him. I believe this review is relative to his personal disposition on June 24, 2015 when the review was placed rather than relative to the job that was completed on July 23, 2014."
"I do not understand why this review was placed over a year after the work was done or why a B grade was given. He was obviously pleased because he hired me again even though this review says that he would not hire me again. Out of the blue, he mentions my smoking. I do not smoke in my own home and would not even consider smoking in a customers home. Again, I have to point out that I was hired again by this customer. This isn't the only review by this customer and this is the best of his 3 reviews that were all placed on the same day. This review was relative to his disposition of the day on June 24, 2015 rather than being relative to the actual job on May 28, 2014."
We have used Mr. Miller numerous times. He has completed indoor painting, plumbing, installed a tile back splash in our kitchen, and handled many other small jobs for us. He is our "go to guy for almost all our needs". His prices are fair and his work ethic is excellent.
"First, I thank this member for a great review. For the price mentioned, this project involved: 1. Replacing a 30" x 60" piece of drywall on a ceiling, finishing and matching a popcorn texture. 2. Creating custom window sills framing and trim where sub-par or none existed. 3. Installing new truss framing and filling in a 3' x 7' section of deck where steps were no longer needed. 4. Several replacements of deck boards. 5. Demolition of a current rail system. 6. Installing new posts and building a 15' x 16' roof over a deck and covering it. 7. Building framework for and installing a track screen system and door around a 12' x 16' deck. 8. Installing exterior carpeting. I look forward to working with this customer again as there are some alterations she would like done that were not able to be done at the time of this work and in that there is another project she has inquired about. Thank you all, Vincent A. Miller"
He has done some other small jobs for us and all done professionally and efficiently.
We have other odds and end jobs that need done. We will definately call on Vincent.
In the past we have had bad luck finding someone that is reliable or does what they promise. It sure is nice to finally find that company.
Helping Hand also came in considerably less which obviously was a added bonus.
We would recommend Helping Hand to anyone. Thank you Vincent and Heather.
"Thank you [member name removed] for the fabulous review. I really enjoyed working at your home.... the music was fabulous! Looking forward to the next time, Vince"
"Thank you for the opportunity to build custom items. I really enjoy stepping outside the norm on projects"
Of the 4 companies I called to quote my job Helping Hands was quick to come out and give me an estimate, showing up at exactly the time we agreed upon. Within a day, I got a written estimate back. I'd like to say that was the case with the other companies but it was not, two of which I had to call back to get the estimate they said they would give me within a few days, and one never showed up as promised. So I was impressed with the professionalism of Helping Hand's owner, Vince. His pricing was very reasonable in comparison to the two other full quotes I received.
We set a date for Vince to start and he arrived on time and competed the work in one day. What I was especially pleased with is that Vince was able to look at a picture of the design for the framing of the garage door and replicate it almost perfectly just from our discussions and looking at the picture of what I wanted only on the day he came out for the estimate. The garage door installer came after Helping Hands was finished and it turned out there was some additional work that needed to be done that Helping Hands or I were not aware of. I called Vince back up and he fit me in on rather short notice for a half day to come out and do that work as he knew I needed this to be completed before I could get the garage door installed.
Since he did not have many Angie's List reviews I was initially not as inclined to call Helping Hands for a quote, but because he showed up promptly and gave me a very fair, accurate and professional estimate I selected Helping Hands. They did a fantastic job and I'll call Vince first for any work I need in the future. I also wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands' services based on my very satisfactory experience!
