I had a new home built that I closed on in March of 2012 and Jimmy Grigg was contracted through my builder to grade the lot.  My yard has had horrible drainage issues from the very first time it rained, to the point that I get a little moat with 4" of water going almost all around my deck any time it rains.  My builder even noticed that there were some low spots near my deck and said he would have them bring the Bobcat back by when he was doing another house down the street from me.  This being my first home purchase and me being unfamiliar with grading, I trusted my builder when he said it would be fixed.  Now he seems to have amnesia when it comes to that conversation and he told me to contact Jimmy Grigg since he was the one that did the grading. 



I contacted Mr. Grigg on April 3rd and explained the situation to him.  He said that he only offers a 30 day guarantee on his work but that he would swing by and see what he could do.  I spoke with him, provided pictures and I've got read receipts so I know he received them.  I contacted him again a week later on April 10th and he has yet to respond to that.  I'm not sure why he went from "I'll swing by this week to look at it" to "I'm not even going to respond to you" as I never once cursed or even raised my voice with him. 



The bottom line is this guy did a very poor job, refuses to stand by his work and won't even contact me after he promised he would come diagnose the issue.  You would be wise to look elsewhere for your grading and landscaping needs.

Jimmy Grigg and crews preformed this large task on time and within budget to include items not contemplated.  Jimmy repeatedly went the extra mile and concluded tasks outside the purview of the job.
And he stands by the job; returns to monitor sprinklers, view the grass and make adjustments.  He lives with his jobs.
